Nightmare Story

The ride home was silence besides the sobbing that came from a terrified Danielle. The boys were right behind us in Thomas' car.

As soon as we got to my house I didn't bother for the car to stop I jumped out unlocked the front door slammed the door ran upstairs to my room and locked my door.

I went to the bathroom and ran my hand over my left cheek, looking myself in the mirror I winced as I begin to wash my face of all the makeup I had put on to conceal the damage that had been done.

After feeling that I had washed my face off enough I looked up in the mirror, what I saw was not what I expected.

Her ring had left an indent on my skin, and in the indent you could see part of my skin was taken off, but not a noticeable amount. The skin around the indent was now becoming a bluish purple a hint of yellow forming at the very middle.

Then there was a jiggling of a key and the turn of my doorknob. Only one person had the key to get in to my room and that person was Sammy he flicked on the light in my room and came into the bathroom speaking until he realized the commodity on my cheek.

"Hey why is everyon-"

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE?"

I had 2 seconds to decided to I tell him the truth which i knew he would immediately run down stairs to tell everyone of do I lie.

"Not a big deal Sammy, I saw what was happening to the girls," I said walking past him grabbing him by the arm," I took off running and I fell and a bench caught me."

He seemed to believe me as I walked down the hallway to the stairs.

They were all in the living room looking grim.

Danielle was still terrified, eyes puffy laying in Toby's lap.

"Ok, can just tell us what's going on, you said we would get an explanation when we got home and were home now, so tell. Now." said Braiden who was obviously frustrated and mad.

"We can't do that," said Dakota from the arm of the love seat where Connor sat.

Brenna jumped up then and turned on the light finally revealing what happened to my face, here we go another lie.

Dakota gasped,"What in the hell?"

"Look I took off running from the pier when I saw who was in y'alls face I tripped and caught a bench, i'm fine!" I said as Dakota examined my face.

"Babe are you sure, it looks bad, here I'll be back, I'm going to get some ice." Riley ran off to the kitchen and came back seconds later with a big of ice and a paper towel, this boy I swear.

Connor sighed,"Ok can we just be told what happened!"

"Dani has to make that decision not us." I said grimmly from my seat on the floor.

"Go a-a-h-ead a-a-a-nd te-l-l them-m." said a shaky Danielle, poor thing I wanted to start crying all over again. That night was horrible, the worst night ever.

Dakota begin the horrible story

"Mitchell was Danielle's boyfriend at the time, two years older than her. She was 14 and he was 16. We all knew what he wanted from Danielle but she was too tangled in his lies too see it," I looked over at Danielle and Toby. Toby eyes brimmed with tears and his hand softly stroked Dani's" One night I got a call from Danielle crying and sobbing, just begging for me to come and pick her up being the only one with a permit at the time. She was at the Valero closest to the beach and I found just outside of the store on the side of the store to be exact, in a complete mess," Danielle croaked as she contined the story Connor rubbing her back softly as she wiped away a tear," She had a black eyes and her both cheeks were bruised, her ear was bloody and her arms were purple."

"That's when I got the call," I said looking down at the floor," It was two in the morning and Danielle was yelling at me through the phone to get down to the Valero and too bring Brenna with her as well, I woke Brenna up probably scaring her half too death as I banged at her window because of the urgency in Kota's voice, we jogged our way to the Valero and there we found our little Dani," I said beginning to cry, then I felt a pair of strong arms around my waist, Riley pulled me in to his chest as I continued the story," We all didn't know what had happened until we got here, he had at firs-t." I croaked," tried to push her into to having sex with her and when Danielle refused, he attempted to." I couldn't tell the rest I begin to sob into Riley's shoulder as Brenna picked up where I left off. But she was crying too.

"He attempted to rape her, but when that didn't work because our Little Danielle is a fighter he just got pissed off a beat her." Brenna said burying herself into Braiden's chest.

"My parents, thank God were on call that whole week, Danielle didn't tell anybody at all she stayed with me the entire week until the bruises and gashes started to fade away but even then she put make-up on them to cover her up from her parents. Our parents asked no questions about all of them staying over at the house it was normal for us." I said quietly.

Toby was crying hard pulling Danielle tight to him. You could see the tears falling of his cheek onto Danielle's hair

"Why would anyone, anyone on this earth want to hurt my Danielle," he said pulling her closer," That jerk! I wish I could've been there to help you, I wish I could've been there to do something!" he said crying harder burying his face in Danielle's red hair. She was silently crying into his chest

Everyone was silent. The silence rang throughout the room until Thomas broke it.

"Hey we need to go home or at least go home and get some clothes."

"No bro." said Toby," I'm staying right here, Connor go and grab me some clothes, I'm not leaving Danielle for a second, I'm here forever and always will be no matter what."

"Yeah.. Uhh lets go ahead and go get some clothes, we will be back promise." said Braiden leaning into kiss Brenna on the lips.

Riley hugged me and told me he would be back in a second.

All the boys left except Toby who was still on the couch sweet talking to Danielle telling her that nothing would ever happen to her ever as long as he lived.

"I need a shower." I said walking up to my room choosing some pj's and shorts and hopping in the shower. After I got out I saw the girls had used the guest room bathroom the only one still in was Danielle and Toby was sitting by the door waiting for her to get out.

"You really meant it didn't you? Not leaving her side for a second even when she is in the shower." I said sweetly smiling at him he laughed a bit but you could hear the sadness in it.

"I mean it with my whole heart. Never." I smiled as I heard the water stop and the door open at the same time. I smiled down at Riley when I saw him enter through the door.

"Hey we are kind of sweaty and gross can we shower?" said Connor

"Of course Dani is now out," I said looking at the guest room door as a puffier eyed Dani came out, Toby lacing his hand with hers resting his chin on her shoulder," and you may use mine too."

By the time everyone was out of the shower it was 2 in the morning we were all yawning and rubbing our eyes just trying to stay awake in each others presents.

"Ok how about this we go and get the coats move the fold out bed to my room and we all sleep in one room?" everyone nodded as they took off in different directions. I showed the boys the cots and fold out beds and moved them to my room, Sammy stripped his bed of pillows and sheets and laid them on the floor of my room crashing onto my floor.

My bed is big enough for four people so of course I was on it with Riley and then Dani and Toby. I laid on my bed as Dani joined me she smiled at me and mouthed I love you. I mouthed back I love you and squeezed her hand, then the lights went out and I felt Riley pull me close to his body, so close I could fell his body heat on my body his hot breath was breathing down on my neck and I closed my eyes beginning to fall asleep but before that I heard a sweet voice whisper," Goodnight beautiful I love you." and then I fell asleep in Riley's Strong arms.
