Blackout

Tess eventually came back to her regular self, coming out of the temporary paralyzing. Everyone had caught up with us making a mix of perverted, cute and teasing comments.

"Damn, get it Riley!" said a teasing Connor elbowing his little brother causing him too blush. I bursted out laughing continuing to walk.

Then I looked at towards the ocean for what is usually a beautiful sunset but instead it was becoming blotted out by incoming storm clouds and my stomach then dropped.

My phone begin to ring 'Hey there pretty brown eyes' it was my mom.

"WHERE ARE YOU?"

"Mom don't even worry I'm on the way home right now." I said beginning to walk in the opposite direction we came in, the girls knew exactly what was happening and were following right behind but the boys were confused and seemed a bit worried while Tess just looked overly annoyed.

"MOM SAMMY WILL BE FINE THE STORM HASN'T REACHED SHORE YET OK? I'M WALKING BYE."

"Would someone care too tell my what's happening?!" said Toby

I turned around and huffed," Sammy gets overly freaked out during storms and we he stresses it causes his heart defect to kick in and if I he freaks out and doesn't reach his medicine in time his body will shut down and he will die."

"Well then come on let's go then!" said Riley walking just as fast as me.

"No, no, no, stay guys! We were having so much fun please don't go, Mika can take care of her brother herself." said Tess her bottom lip getting fat and her eyes becoming mist.

The boys were too sweet and blind to the fact to see what she was doing. Riley looked at me with pleading eyes. Something snapped in me because it was my little brother. The last time this had happened I wasn't home and I found him on the kitchen floor inches away from his medicine.

"LOOK IF YOU WANT TO STAY HERE AND WATCH THE STORM COME IN IT'S FINE BUT THIS IS MY LITTLE BROTHER AND RIGHT NOW HE NEEDS ME TO MONITOR HIM AND KEEP HIM CALM."

I begin to jog down the beach, I heard some pattering feet behind me.

It took me no longer then 10 mins to get to my front door and unlocked it bursting through.

"SAMMY." I yelled.

"I'M OVER ON THE FLOOR KITCHEN." I could hear him panting already, having the trouble breathing. I ran into the kitchen and found him in between the island counter and the stove. His injection had what looked like skittered out of his hand. I grabbed it and stuck it in his thigh pushing it through making sure every single drop went into his veins.

His breathing begin to steady and return to normal.

"YOU SCARED ME JESUS SAMMY." I said hugging him tightly.

"I'm fine! Well at least now I'am!"

I finally looked behind me and there was a stabbing pain in my heart. All the girls were there with Toby and Connor but none of the others.

"Come on to the couch and uh turn on the uh the uh I think the Ranger and Giants are playing yeah Connor and Toby can do that for you to get your mind off what is going on outside."

They helped him up to the living room and I cleaned up the kitchen putting up the syrom and needles.

Thunder cracked and lightning flashed and then wind picked up. Just then the door burst open with Riley, Braiden, Thomas and Tess. I ignored them as they came through the door and sat next to my little brother calming him and whispering comforting words.
