Dad stripped down to just his pajama pants and I hooked him up to his vitals. He had made a new arch and I was to change it out. I was just happy that I got my weapon hidden before he realized what it was. When I got to him I said "Heads up dad I might freak out" I had called Pepper down to give me moral support. "You will be fine baby girl, just keep your head on straight, remember always keep your eye on the ball." Yet another throw back to when he taught me how to play baseball. He just snapped the old one out like it was nothing. "Looks like all those years of playing operation is going to pay of ehh just pick up the site and don't let it touch the sides. I put my hand in his chest and it freaked me out. This was not normal, and yet not the weirdest thing my dad and I have done. I almost vomited when I felt the goo at the bottom, " Ewwww dad there is a bunch of puss in here" "calm down it isn't body fluids, just the machine." I smelt so gross but when I got the wire I even hit the side and his vitals shot up just like an operation game. I wanted to get it over with so I pulled all of it our like he told me but the he just calmly said, "oh okay I'm going into cardiac arrest now so please just grab the arch and plug the new one in. Pepper just kept on yelling, "You said it was safe, you got this Toni." When it was put back in dad grinned. "See all done I knew you had this. Now we never have to do it again". Pepper took the old arch away while Tony looked at me and said "OK time to get some work done, I am going out for a bit, but be ready to get serious when I am back"

While he was gone I found my little invention, shaking my head that I never got to use it and immediately started taking it apart and destroying some parts. When Tony got back I saw his suit, he started explained how it worked and if this was what he wanted then I am going to fully support him. We spent weeks, then months down in the shop constantly making adjustments and I have to say, honestly this is the happiest I have ever been. A few times I would work late into the night, fall asleep and woken up to him still working. I have always loved working in the workshop but now  I have the education to work on my dad's level and not just sit in the corner and watch, only handing him the tools he needed at the moment. I promised him I wouldn't tell anyone about it but honestly who would I have to tell. A few times I didn't think it was a good idea, like our first flying test run, where Tony flung himself into a wall. "baby girl write that down"

Pepper came down when we were working on the flight stabilizers one day and said the Obidiah was upstairs. I ran upstairs and greeted him with a wave and went to the pizza grabbing a slice and going for a beer before dad yanked it out of my hands. "Still under age kiddo" geez only my dad would treat me like a child I just stared at him like the weirdo he is, "Since when did you care about that". He went to Obidiah, waving me off with a "Embrace all of the changes love" and they started talking business. I couldn't really hear it from the kitchen, but apparently Tony missed a big meeting. I could hear them yelling about the company wanting to lock Tony out, but he nodded at me when I started to watch them and we went into the shop to work some more. Some parts of Tony is still the same. When I asked him about the fight he just shrugged it off without answering any of my questions.

Soon enough we made arm and boots that could fly. I watched my dad just amazed. Super corny but my dad is kinda my hero, he sparked my love for science and then followed me threw with it. Eventually we had a full suit made and almost ready for a test drive. "Tony we aren't quit ready for a test flight, are you sure about this test run?" I can't see his face but I hear a robotic voice, "Sometimes you have to run before you walk" and then he took of. I just waited in the shop, stealing a beer and waited. The last time I waited for him he went missing. At least JARVIS is with him. Next thing I knew the suit came crashing down right on one of the luxury cars and I got him some ice. Dad told me to take the rest of the night off as he started to make final notes on how smooth the ride was. I saw the news about the fundraiser and them making assumptions that dad wouldn't go. I made my way downstairs and turned it on. "Tony were you suppose to be here?" The news then talked about all the rumors that Tony developed PTSD while in Afghanistan.

I guess dad took it as a challenge to show up because he got dress up and out the door in fifteen minutes. I just hung out till I got sleepy and ended up falling asleep on the couch with the TV still on. When I woke up he was gone, I just assumed he left with a girl. Pepper seemed a little weird and I was just confused as to what happened at the party, or knowing my father, what happened after the party. When I did go down to the shop I realized that the suit was gone. So once again, I waited for him. When he flew in I didn't say anything just watched as the suit was being taken off. Now it feels like the old days. Dad leaves you don't know when he will come back but when he does he acts like nothing happened and keeps me in the dark. Pepper feels it too she almost cried when she saw the bullet holes.

Unlike normal, dad didn't have me adjust the armor, then I saw Pepper leaving guess dad sent her to get something. Obidiah was calling me so I answered and he wanted to spend the night out with me. That's not unusual, it is a stressful time and he always was like an uncle/grandpa to me so I got out to the SUV, but then he said he had to talk to my dad for a bit so I just sat there waiting for his return.
