*Angelina's POV*
My body hurts from the pain waves coming directly from my brain. I feel like I just ran fifty miles none stop. When in reality, it was just doing a stupid exam that even though I studied for was extremely hard. Why couldn't I have chosen another career? Or at least remained a symphonist and athlete? The choices I make in my life.
"Hey," Chloe bumps her shoulder against mine with a grin. How can she look so happy after going through that exam? "Look at the bright side, this just proves we are soon going to leave college and won't ever come back."
I groan, definitely feeling the vibe of positivity at this moment. All on my mind right now is a nice refreshing glass of champagne, fast food, and watching comedy before dropping asleep. That is all. But nooo, I have to go by the studio. Thank God I am not an athlete anymore. I can just imagine the pain. And it would definitely not be sweet.
"Yeah, I guess," I tell her nonchalantly with a shrug. "Our minds destroyed from stress and exhaustion."
Chloe laughed, a very light yet deep melody. God! Why couldn't I have a laugh like that and not one like a fucking hyena? This just proves this world bloody hates me.
"Yeah," her laughing died down, but her voice still held amusement. "I'm pretty sure we will get through."
I roll my eyes. "That makes me feel oh so much better." Sarcasm dripped from my voice and apparently it is funny for she is laughing again. I knot my eyebrows in confusion. What is so funny?
She looks at my perplexed expression and laughs even more. This day is getting crazier by the minute.
"I am...soooh sorrey," she says gasping my shoulder for support. She then clears her throat trying to regain her composure. "I didn't mean to laugh so hard."
I nod in understanding. "I get it," I say sweetly. "You are suffering from brain damage, but please don't forget to take your pills again."
That immediately shuts her up and I walk away to catch a cab and be on my way to the studio.
"That was not nice," I hear her mutter as I walk away.
"I was never meant to be nice," I tell her with a smirk over my shoulder right before calling a cab.
She laughs and gives me a wicked grin. "You are one naughty girl."
"Shhh..." I look around for dramatic effect, which causes me to have whiplash, but I ignore it. "Don't want everyone to know."
"Oh, your secret is safe with me," she places her manicured fingers on her chest with a mock innocent look.
I roll my eyes at her. "Yeah, just like that time you kept my dinner real safe."
"You'll never forget about that, will you?" She says and I just shake my head.
"See you later," I tell her, ending our little game or something. "Study for you and I, okay?"
"Oh God, my poor brain," she says jokingly and I bite back a smile. "Okay, but if I don't make it to the exam tomorrow, it's your fault."
I wave her off as she heads in some random direction. At that exact moment, the taxicab shows up and I get in. The driver looks at me through the rearview mirror with furrowed eyebrows and I feel a little uncomfortable. But he doesn't say anything and drives off. Probably he recognizes me. I am not wearing much to cover my looks and hide my identification, but he doesn't say anything. I don't know if that's a good thing or not.
