*Angelina's POV*

It is quite shocking how much one can find on the internet. And it is even more shocking what one finds out in one day.

"Just give me a minute," I say with my hand up for her to wait. I need more than a minute to recover from this information, but I will take what I can get. "You did not just say that your brother and Mr. Steele are best buds or something."

Chloe looks at me for a solid minute with a frown before finally nodding, almost hesitantly. I don't know what that is for, but I really hope it has nothing to do with her practicing her cop skills on me. I mean, it's like being dissected and examined in the brain. Sometimes I wonder why she allowed her parents to push her into becoming a doctor. A lawyer, journalist or even cop are, to me, very good jobs, even if your family are multimillionaires. Like hers of course.

Chloe bobs her head up and down in a nod. I close my eyes hoping this is not real. But reality burns into the back of my eyelids for I am seeing his image when I shut my eyes. I don't know why this is affecting me, but it just does. He is some type of contagious fever I need to stay away from. Although it seems I have already caught it for I couldn't stop thinking about for the past week or so of exams. I am so surprised I even survived this week. Right now, I just want to pass even if I don't get First Class Honors. Those words all screamed Mr. CEO in my head. But if he is Chloe's brother best friend since forever according to Chloe, then why have I never saw him before. I have been to more than enough of Chloe's family functions to not meet him. Not even once.

"Why is it that I have never met him before?" I ask and she shrugs as if this is a slight issue. As if it is something she meets upon everyday. Well, unlike her, I don't fucking do these things often. And I think the erratic beating of my heart is proof enough.

"Is that why you were so eager for me to like him?" I ask silently, choosing my words carefully.

Chloe might be all dolled up and look like a princess, but she has a dragon inside her. They say that sticks and stones may break your bones and that words can't hurt you. But say something to Chloe she doesn't like and she will use your words and crush your bones with her feet. So I suspect that the person who said that never met someone like Chloe. She can be quite scary, even to me who has known her since forever.

I flinch as Chloe turns around to face me, but all worries are washed away as her face splits into a broad smile. There is a wicked glint in her eyes and I immediately narrow my eyes at her. I don't think I am going to like what she is about to say.

"So you admit that you like him," she teases, her eyebrows doing some weird dance above her eyes as she gives me her devilish grin. I am pretty sure that is suppose to be a question, but the way she says it, it is more of a statement than a question. I groan, shutting my eyes.

Why the fuck did I ask her that?

"I am not admitting anything," I tell her confidently as I finally open my eyes. "But I think you haven't answered my question yet, so stop changing the subject."

My brain for some reason told my lips to smirk as I finish the statement and I wasn't aware of it until I glimpse myself in the shiny apple on my laptop and Chloe roll her eyes at me.

"I have only met him once when you were touring in Europe when we just graduated and it was dark, so I didn't get to see him clearly," she tells me and I cock my head to finish off my you expect me to believe that? expression. She raises her palms in the air as a sign of surrender. "I swear."

"I know you swear a lot Chloe," I tell her flatly as I look back down at my laptop to figure out this security password of some sort.

"Well, you're the cocky bastard in hiding," I roll my eyes, not even bothering to look her way as my fingers speedily type across the keyboards. "How do you think I even got that interview?"
