You tell me you want me
But you keep on pushing me away
We always argue
All day and all night
/
You said you like me
But you never did
You liked my words
And how they made you feel
/
But honey, unsaid words are the easiest to write
'Cause the words you mean are always the hardest to say
I'll just use my poems
To speak on my behalf
/
The whole world probably knows it by now
But you're always the last one to know
You're slow, you don't have any idea
So I won't tell you about this poem just like the others
/
'Cause I really shouldn't write about you
Because words stay
Even when the feeling is gone
Even when there's nothing left to hold on to
