We’ve been best friends
For as long as I can remember
Four people
With very different personalities

They tolerate
Even my crazy ideas
My suggestions
They follow without hesitation

I find comfort
In their company
I am myself
When I’m with them
.
For a long time
I called them home
I always thought
They were the source of my strength
.
Never in my mind
I imagined
That we would grow apart
Never, ever

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder
Guess that didn’t apply to us
