Speak Up

1K 22 1

I am seething with anger
How could a country exist in such social injustices?
I am mad
How could the people believe what they just heard without knowing the whole story?
I am so sorry for the family of the accused
They were charged guilty without proper evidence
It was physically impossible to be in two places at the same time
I am angry
It is the right of the defendant to speak, to have witnesses backing up his testimony
To not be given that chance, you know that there is something wrong with the court
It is biased, unfair
It makes me lose faith in humanity
How could those parents live knowing they put innocent people in prison?
Why would you give gifts to the person who "raped and killed your daughters"?
If the sisters were alive, how could they live knowing they ended other people's dreams?
The law is supposed to be fair and equal to all
But money, power, and positions took over
Someday, the family of the accused will be vindicated
They will be proven innocent

Who was to blame?
What really happened?
We all want to know the truth
One good thing about social media, it opened a lot of people's eyes
I have a voice and am not afraid to speak up
I may not know everything, but I know enough

Through it all, I know that God is in control
He holds the highest power
He is judge, and knows what He is doing
Everything will make sense
In His time, everything will be alright

For now, I will believe
I will not lose hope
Freedom will transpire
They will be set free
I will not give up today
I will not give up tomorrow
