Chapter 1.
My eyes flickered open, the soft pink dawn light filtering through the blinds, causing my sensitive eyes to ache. Rolling over I groaned; my mouth felt dry, my head was pounding violently and as for my stomach...well if I didn't get to the toilet soon the contents of it would be on the floor. Swinging my aching limbs from my bed I truged towards my mirror to assess the damage of my usual Saturday morning hangover. My eyes travelled to the reflective glass and were met by a pair of bloodshot lifeless ones staring right back at them, rimmed by the smudged reminisce of last night’s mascara and eyeliner. I groaned as I noticed a dark purple bruise stood out against the chocolate coloured skin of my neck. My lace patterned tights were ripped throughout the thin fabric, and my dark burgundy body hugging skirt was creased and covered in what I’m sure were beer stains. And to top it all off my white bandu under my black mesh vest top was covered in lipstick and good knows what else.
Tired of the staring at the wreck that was in front of me, I picked up the wide range of cleansers and face wipes to remove all the evidence of last night from my face. I struggled dismantling the many knots from my now much frazzled hair and stripped off the distressed party clothes from last night inspecting my appearance. My face and hair now looked much fresher and tamed. Sighing I chucked on a“Vote For Pedro” t-shirt pulling my hair into a high pony and slipping silently out the house.
As soon as I stepped out the doorway I felt calm and at peace with myself. The fresh English air filled my nostrils as I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. It was this time of the morning I loved the most, when the majority of London was still asleep, the humming of car engines was faint and distant, and the light was so soft and gentle. I sighed feeling happy , content with the peace and serenity, until I heard a voice behind me.
"Goooooooooood Morning!"
"Charlie! Sh. To. Early" I mumbled covering my ears.
"Uh-oh someone's a little grumpy" He chuckled looking down at me.
"Well I'm glad that you find the fact that I look and feel like utter crap amusing" I stated crossing my arms with a scowl.
"Well I think you look absolutely beautiful" He said ruffling my hair.
"You're such a comidien"
"Aw Den-Den cheer up for goodness sake" He said rolling his eyes.
"There's no reason to be cheery around you"
"Ow, I think I just felt my heart break" He cried dramtically clutching his chest only to be rewarded with an eye roll from me.
"Oh come one, you're not still annoyed about the love bite are you?"
"You gave me a love bite!" I exclaimed punching him in the chest
"You said you found me irresistable!" He shouted raising his hands up in surrender
"I say a lot of stupid things when I'm drunk, doesn't mean you have to go all Edward Cullen on my neck!"
"Haha Twilight, what a joke of a film" He chuckled.
"Charlie do not try and change the subject!" I said trying not laugh.
"Okay, okay, I just thought you might have wanted a trip down memory lane" He said waggiling his eyebrows.
