Chapter 6.
Pushing the door open, I pulled Summer into the gym. There were girls everywhere, of all shapes and sizes, some looked nervous, practically hyperventilating in the corner, whereas others looked completely confident, I also spied quiet a few boys surpsrisingly. In the corner of the gym I saw Nat who seemed to be having a pretty heated argument with Elodie. Nat turned her head in an angry motion, but her face relaxed when she saw us. Turning to Elodie one more time, she stabbed her finger at her mutter something before walking towards us. Elodie rolled her eyes, flipping her hair and walking in the opposite direction.
“Hey you guys” Nat smiled.
“Hey” We both responded.
“What was that back there?” Summer said frowning and gesturing to Elodie, who was flipping her hair in the corner, conversing with one of her bimbos.
“Eurgh, just co-captain disagreements. On a serious note, anyone who can get on with that girl deserves an award or a frickin’ Noble Peace Prize, because I’m sure it’s fucking impossible” Nat said vigorously pulling her hair into a pony tail.
“Hey! Now what happened to the cheer spirit!” I said grinning, whilst Summer and I gave her thumbs up.
“She murdered it, with her cold, destructive, bitchy poisonous hands.” Nat spat, her face reddening with anger as the speed of her words increased, and I swear to god there was a vein as thick as my fist sticking out of her neck. “You know if the Nazi’s were still in action I’d sign that bitch straight up! Lord knows she’d be fucking good at it, and you know what where is she right now? Because, I haven’t had the chance to hit anything in a while, and she looks like the perfect object right now so I think I’m gonna g-”
“Whoa! Nat! It’s ok, calm down. Deep breathes, that’s it, nice and calm…” Summer said frantically, pulling Nat back with all her might.
"Seriously dude, take a breath!" I said holding my hands up, trying to difuse the situation.
"I'm going to kill her one day" Nat mumbled gritting her teeth.
"Ok, but for now just calm it" Summer said in a soft voice raising her eyebrow.
"Whatever" Nat grumbled.
“Well on a more positive note, your uniforms are cute?” I said rubbing the back of my neck nervously, trying to distract Nat from her mission to beat the shit out of Elodie. I gestured to Nat’s uniform, the white short skirt was neatly pleated with, 3 stripes edging the bottom, alternating between red, blue and then red again, with evenly spaced gaps between them. The white sleeveless top ended just below her navel, and the three stripes identical to the bottom of the skirt started at the shoulders and went down diagonally to create a V shape. Beside each side of the V were another set of stripes going down diagonally then veering off horizontally, the gap between them and V filled in blue. In the middle of the top were the letters WBHS, written in red, and edge with white then blue.
“Thanks” Nat grumbled looking down at herself.
“So like, you guys are normally animals, like the lions or the eagles or something right? So what are you?” I asked.
“No, animals are for amateurs, we’re Tornados” She said.
“So why is there a statue of a bull outside the school?” I asked confused.
“Because Principal Willis is on crack…either that or it’s because it was the animal with the closest link to a tornado, do you how hard it is to dress your mascot up as a tornado?” Nat babbled, clearly a lot calmer.
