CHAPTER 4
It had been a week since Addison left and since then I had been pretty miserable. How were we supposed to do this long distance relationship thing? We were just seniors and we had to go through this. I was expecting it from college but not during my senior year.
"You're thinking about Addison aren't you?" I looked at Piper who was giving me a knowing look.
"No."
She scoffed as she just looked at me. "I know you're thinking about her, you have that miserable look on your face." I sighed as I opened my locker and shoved my things inside.
"How do you even know that?"
"It's written all over your face."
She leaned her back against the lockers next to mine and folded her arms across her chest. "I miss her too you know," she added quietly.
I hadn't seen Piper get emotional. She had never been an emotional person. She usually hid it and she hid it well.
"We'll be fine though won't we?" I asked and she raised her eyebrows at me.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean Addie will stay in contact with us won't she?" Piper laughed at my comment and I did admit that I was feeling a little stupid. Piper never laughed at anyone so when she did, you knew that you said something really stupid.
"Yes of course she will, how is she supposed to forget you? You're dating her Chase, you should know that," she replied with a smirk on her face and I rolled my eyes. She did have a point.
"Whatever Piper."
The bell rang, signalling homeroom and I sighed loudly. It was way too early.
Addison had been in the same homeroom class as me and she always made things fun.
"I'll see you at lunch," she said before walking away.
Closing my locker, I made my way to my classroom. Eric was already there and I sat down on his right. There was a spare seat next to me which was Addison's seat. No one else dared to sit down in that seat and that was how I wanted it.
My mind pondered over to her. I wondered how she was and if she was enjoying her new school. We hadn't spoken much because she had been really busy.
"Hey," Eris said and I nodded my head in his direction. "You'll never guess what I heard today."
I raised my eyebrows at him as I leaned back in my seat. "I'm guessing you will tell me," I mocked and he rolled his eyes.
"I am ignoring that comment and of course I am going to tell you."
"Get on with it then."
"There's a new girl starting today," he informed me and I rolled my eyes.
In this school, whenever there was a new student, everyone would instantly know about it and they would make a massive deal about it.
"So what?"
"It's a new girl," he said motioning with his hands.
Joel sat down next to Eric, punching his shoulder. "He already likes her and he hasn't even seen her face," he joked and Eric glared at him.
"For me to like her, she is going to have to be fit and I have a girlfriend." I rolled my eyes at their conversation. They were talking about girls. If this was two years ago then I would be joining in.
When everyone was present, the teacher Mr Collins walked inside and began looking at his computer.
A few minutes later, the door opened and a girl wearing a cheerleading uniform walked inside.
