CHAPTER 39
Adelyn, Christopher and Blair had gone to back to Boston. It was weird but she had promised to stay in contact and she wouldn't stop texting me.
The doorbell rang and I opened the door to find Johnson.
I hated the fact that Tabitha and Johnson could still have Greyson and Adrianna yet I couldn't have Chase but I wasn't going to show that.
"Hey come in," I said and he smiled at me as he walked inside.
"Is Adrianna in?" He asked.
Before I could even say anything, she appeared and said "right here."
He kissed her and I made sick noises in the background before walking away.
"Mom?" I said walking into her office.
"Yes love?"
"It's been months since I last saw Chase," I said and she sighed, clearly not wanting have this conversation with me.
"Hey maybe he moved on," my dad joked and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm sorry who was talking to you?" I snapped and he chuckled at my reaction before kissing my mother and leaving for work.
"Honey," she started and I knew whenever she started like that, it was bad news.
"But mom it isn't fair," I said and she sighed as she grabbed my hand and pulled me onto her lap.
"I know it isn't fair okay? I know that but you can't just go to Chase whenever you feel like it." I sighed and nestled my face into her shoulder as she just held me tightly. "And why do you want to see him so badly?"
"He isn't replying to my calls or texts. You don't get it mom," I said quietly and she brushed my hair away from my face as she looked at me.
"So come on, make me get it," she challenged and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at her comment.
"I don know how to."
"Addie listen to me okay?" She said as she cupped my chin as I nodded my head. "You are going to College next year and you need to focus on that. You can't just take the jet to Boston whenever Chase doesn't answer his phone. Do you know how much fuel goes on the jet? clearly not and how do you know you and Chase will even last?"
"Are you underestimating our relationship?" I challenged and she sighed loudly as she just stared at me in disbelief.
"I did not say that."
"You didn't need to. You don't get it and you are supposed to be my mom."
"Hang on," she said clearly offended. "I am your mom and I have given you everything you have ever asked for."
Okay maybe that was true.
"You're not giving me this."
"I can't just let you do this," she replied and I just rolled my eyes.
"Whatever mom, you say that I can come to you whenever I want or need something but that's probably what helps you sleep at night."
That was a little too far.
She gasped and before she could retaliate, I said "I'm going to school."
I saw Greyson and Tabitha standing in the large hall and they heard the conversation. "You can't just say that everytime you don't get your way Ads."
Sometimes he really did love acting like he was older than me. He might have looked the part but he was never going to be older than me.
"It doesn't even have anything to do with you Greyson you just get yourself involved in a bunch of shit that doesn't even concern you."
He glared at me but I ignored it.
"Shut up Addison."
"Make me Greyson," I retorted and he rolled his eyes at me.
"You're so immature. You always throw a tantrum whenever something happens or whenever mom or dad say no. You act like a spoilt little brat all the time, maybe it's about time you grew the hell up." I scoffed at his comet not even knowing what to say.
"Shut your stupid little good for nothing mouth before I make you shut up," I threatened. Tabitha put her hand on his arm, stopping him from replying and I just scoffed at his pathetic ness before leaving the house, slamming the door on my way out.
The drive to school was quiet and it let me think of my racing thoughts.
There was a knock on my window when I parked my car and I looked up to find Rick who sat down in my passenger seat. "You look lost in thought," he commented.
He had been trying so hard to get in my pants. He would usually give up and get with someone else but he wasn't backing down from this challenge.
He was entertaining at times but then also at times I could really kill him. "Why are you even here?" I questioned.
"Relax I am not going to try anything," he insisted and I raised my eyebrows at him.
"What? I'm not."
"Yes you are," I retorted and he ignored me.
"I'm hurt," he said as he fake gasped. "But anyway, my phone broke." I raised my eyebrows at him hoping this wasn't one of his little chat up lines.
"Oh really?" I retorted.
"Really, really."
Rick really got on my nerves.
"And why are you telling me? Do I look like someone who fixes phones?" I sarcastically asked and he rolled his eyes at me.
"No but you can fix it in this case."
I clenched my jaw putting two and two together as I realised he was asking me for my number. "You aren't getting my number," I said as I got out of my car and he did the same.
"Hey," he said clearly offended.
"What? Were you not expecting that? Did you think I was just going to give you my number?" I mocked.
"Why are you acting so hard to get?" He replied as he folded his arms.
"Who says I'm acing?" I got out of my car and he did the same. I just locked my car beore walking inside the building.
I was already in a bad mood and Rick had just made it worse..
"What's up with you?" Isabella asked as I joined her and Lana.
She and Lana were pretty closing but Isabella hadn't told us anything, she just kept on insisting that they were friends and only friends. I wasn't sure if I believed that just yet.
"Rick," I muttered as I opened my locker and she smiled at me.
"What has he said now?"
"Oh you know the usual chat up lines but now he's saying his phone broke and he needed my number to fix it?" She smirked as she shook her head.
"That's pretty bad."
"Exactly, "I mumbled as I slammed my locker harder than I've ever done before.
"Jheez someone woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning," Veronica mocked and I rolled my eyes before walking away from them.
I just wanted to be alone and being in school was not the best option so I actually left, using the back doors, getting into my car and sped off.
I didn't have a location in mind, I just knew that I couldn't go to school and I couldn't go home.
So where could I go?
