CHAPTER 17
The door opened and Isabella walked inside. "What do you want Isabella?" I said harshly and she rolled her eyes, sitting down beside me on the guest bed.
"I want you to be honest with me," she replied and I rolled my eyes.
"Please just go. I want to be alone-"
"No Addison! Chase and Spence might have you let be alone but I'm not." I rolled my eyes and she brushed my hair away from my face. "What did they say?"
"Nothing."
"Addison," she warned and I sighed, burying my face into her neck.
"They said hurtful things."
"Like?"
"How I should just leave and that no one wanted me here and that they replaced me with that bitch." She stroked my hair and kissed my forehead as she held me tightly.
"Don't let them get to you-"
"I'm not intending to," I mumbled and she sighed.
"I know," she said quietly. "I know it hurts having them say that to you but what is hiding away going to achieve Addie? You need to go to that fundraiser and show them that their words can't hurt you."
"I'm not strong enough," I whispered and she sighed.
"Look at me Addison," she demanded and I looked up at her. "I've known you for a few weeks and you are already one of the strongest people I know. Don't let people like them tell you otherwise." I sighed and wiped my tears away. "They're not worth your tears," she said as she kissed my cheek and I wrapped my arms around her neck.
"Thanks for this."
"Don't thank me, this is what friends do," she replied as she stroked my hair and I smiled at her.
"You didn't have to."
"I did," she insisted.
"I'm sorry I made this whole trip depressing-"
"Hey," she said as she put her finger on my lips putting me off. "Don't apologise for that," she replied and I sighed loudly. "You haven't made it depressing. You showed me that person who thought her boyfriend was cheating on her remember?" I smiled and nodded my head.
"You mean weak?"
"No, emotional," she corrected. "You are far from weak. You are such a robot sometimes and this just shows that you do have feelings and I'll always be here if you ever want to cry on my shoulder or need to talk." I smiled at her and sighed because she was being so nice to me.
She dried my tears and kissed my hair.
"Are you going to go the fundraiser then?"
I bit my lower lip as I looked at her.
"Yeah."
She smirked as she nodded her head. "That's great."
"I'm nervous as hell," I said and she chuckled.
"Don't be, I'll be right beside you," she replied and I smiled.
"How are you so amazing?" I asked and she shrugged her shoulders.
"It's a talent," she arrogantly said and I playfully rolled my eyes.
"How are things with you and Spence?" I asked quietly and she shrugged her shoulders.
"I don't know if we're together or not but I really don't want to be in a relationship." I raised my eyebrows telling her to continue and she sighed. "I won't be able to stay faithful."
