CHAPTER 47

Weeks had passed and things were slowly getting back to normal.

Okay that might had been a little over exaggeration because things could never go back to normal but Madison and I were acting like a proper couple.

Addison hadn't bothered contacting me or Madison or any of our finds except for Spencer and Jade. I thought she was only doing that because she knew that it was only Spencer and Jade who didn't accept our relationship so she decided to stay in contact with them.

I wasn't going to lie, she did send Rosemary a birthday card last week when it was her ninth birthday. It was sweet and none of us expected it. It also came with a present which was the latest Barbie doll. Rosemary had been begging my parents to get it but they said they would get it soon, which in their minds meant never.

"Relax," Madison said.

She put her hands on my shoulders as she kissed my cheek and I draped my arms around her waist.

Even though we were in school, we acted like a great couple. Which we were.

"Don't you two ever get tired of acting so happy?" Spencer asked us and Madison sighed loudly.

"Spence leave us alone," she said quietly and I tightened my grip on her.

"I am just asking you both a question. What? Can't I do that anymore?" She snapped.

Spencer loved causing trouble for us but what she loved even more was tearing Madison down. Even though Madison appeared like she was a strong tough person, she wasn't. Spencer knew this and knew exactly how to tear her down which she usually did.

"Spencer," I warned.

This had been going on for weeks and I really couldn't be bothered to deal with her.

"What Chase?" Before I could even reply she started speaking, "you know I spoke to Addison?"

"What did she say?" I asked curiously.

"Wouldn't you like to know?"

Madison shared an uncomfortable look with me.I

The bell rang loudly, preventing us from replying and I sighed loudly.

"Spence what did she say?"

"That is for me to know and you to find out."

She really couldn't get any more annoying in that moment.

Jade appeared and stood beside her, grabbing her arm. "We need to go to homeroom Spencer."

"Oh so do they, they are in our same one, remember?"

Out of everyone I had known in this entire school I would have never described Spencer as a dog. But after Madison and I had gotten together she had been nothing but a total dog to us. We both expected this sort of behaviour from Jade but not from Spencer and it was making us feel very uncomfortable as we also did not like it.

But then again who would?

They walked away from us without another word and I sighed loudly as I took deep breath. They were so irritating.

"Mads come on or we are going to be late for homeroom," I said grabbing her hand

We walked into our homeroom classroom just before the second bell rang so we technically weren't late.

We sat down at the aback and got lost in our conversations.

We were in our first lesson, English and I was so glad that I had Madison sitting next to me. I didn't have a lot of classes with her which really made me cherish the classes that I actually did share with her.

She leaned forwards and began writing notes.

I'm bored, we are totally skipping the rest of the day.

I smirked as I shook my head at her comment. Typical Madison.

Mads you can't exactly skip school because you feel bored. It's school.

So?

I quietly chuckled at that response. She clearly wanted to ditch and I never denied her anything. Maybe that was why we worked as a couple.

Fine, we've ditching.

Yay!

I could see the enthusiasm all over her face as she smiled at me which I returned.

*****

After ditching out classes, it was time for lunch.

We were sitting at the middle of the canteen which was also known as the popular table.

Madison was sitting on my lap and I had my arms around her waist. We were both pretty comfortable with one another and we really didn't care what people thought of us so we acted like a couple whenever we wanted to.

This was different to Addison because she hated making out in public whereas Madison loved it as the wolf whistles encouraged her.

There were so many differences about the two of them.

All I wanted to do was to make this work with Madison but for that, I realised that I needed to let Addison go.

And to let her go, I needed to see her.
