Chapter 7: The best friend...

Chapter 7:

" Sarah, what happened to the interview?" Asked Ria.

"Ma'am, we have shortlisted a few. Here is the list."

" Oh! Great. Can you send Dev in for me please."

" Sure, Ma'am. Mr. Sanghvi will be here in a moment Ma'm."

In a few minutes in came the handsome guy who invaded the dreams of many ladies.

"Morning, Ri! how do you manage to look so gorgeous everytime." said Dev Sanghvi.

Diva's best friend. They met in college. Dev saw outside the basketball stadium one day and offered her to teach, he din't know that she was standing there waiting for the guys inside to get out so that she practice. Diva being Diva refused his help and Dev being Dev challenged for a one on one not wanting to let go of the beauty infront of him too soon. Diva obviously won but not wanting to rub it in his face she smiled sweetly and introduced herself. And from there on they hit it off as best friends. even though they were quite opposite of each other they did have a few things common. After college seeing that Dev was someone she could trust and that he had the qualifications, she offered him job in her company, as her associates. And he din't disappoint her.

"Morning D. And please keep your flirting to those girls who go weak in the knees for it."

"C'mon Ri! You know I can't control myself when I'm in the presence of a gorgeous lady as yourself. And especially when its the most sought after bacholorette."

"Dev!" Ria warned him.

"Okay! Okay! I was just stating the facts." He said holding up his hands in surrender.

" Now, Shall we get back to business?"

"Ofcourse! What can I do for you Gorgeous?"

Diva shook her, this guy will never change. " Here, this is the shortlist of the interview we held. I want you to arrange another interview with them and you will sit through this one. You will select one who is the most eligible for the job. If you feel none of them are upto the mark then hold another interview find fresh candidates I don't want someone who doesn't deserve the job to get it. Keep searching till you get the right one. And that person will be your junior associate until I find him/ her to be eligible to be promoted as associate."

"Consider it done gorgeous. Now is there anything else I can do for you?"

"No that would be all for now. I gotta leave now"

"Please tell me you don't have job cut out even during lunch?"

"I'm going to go pick up Angel for lunch you can join us if you want." she said with a smile.

"Oh! You are asking me in a date? Wow! How did I get this lucky?"

"Shut up! And no this is no date. Now do you wanna join o not?"

"How can I say no to lunch with world's two most gorgeous ladies?"

"Alright, Mr. Flirt. Lets get going now.'

"Sarah, I'm going out for lunch with Angel and Dev. I'll be back by 3."

"Sure Ma'am."

The lunch obviously was filled with smiles, laughs and happiness. It had to when Dev was there.

Dev. Dev was different. He made everyone arround him happy. He was the best friend Diva could ever ask for. They were best friends but not the type who were inseperable and clingy. They gave eachother space and respected it. They werent the type who expected to share each and every bit of their lives with eachother. But, they did share things when they felt like. They din't press matters. They din't need words to express they understood eachother even through silence.

In all these years of friendship, He never made a move on her. He never expected them to be anything more than best friends. And she admired him for that. Yes, he did flirt sometimes but he never had wrong intentions in it and she knew it. He was protective of her but din't over do it cause he knew she was strong enough to handle anything. When they made decisions they did it with both their opinion. When she blocked out the world, he would understand wait for her to be back to normal but if she over did it he would reason it out to her and make her understand. He was the voice of reason in her life. And she was his. When he over did something she would knock some sense into him.

They respected eachother, loved eachother, cared about eachother. They were perfect example for perfect best friends.

Dev was loved by everyone. Angel saw a brother in him. He was protective of her just like Diva.  

He had formed a bond with every Sisodia. This is why Mr and Mrs Sisodia think "why doesn't Diva just marry him?". I mean he is everything a women would want in her husband. He was handsome, chivalrous, loving , caring, understanding and everything one can ask for.

As charming as he was and however much he flirted with every lady in his prescence, he respected them. He never crosses his limits with them.

" Hey"

Angel looked up to meet the cutest pair of olive green eyes. "Hi. Morning!"

"Morning, Angel. I couldn't find you after class yesterday. Did you leave early?"

" Yeah, sorry I couldn't say goodbye yesterday. My Di picked me up early."

"Oh it's okay. I was just worried"

That made an unnown feeling rise in Angel's heart. "Really?"

"Ofcourse! You are my best friend. I'll always worry about you"

"I'll worry about you too, A." she said with a smile.

Her smile always brightened his day. They din't know how but they had somehow become bestfriend friends and that stayed like that. It had been years of friendship now . At the begining of kindergarten when he was told he would attend this school he din't know he would find his best friend here. On his 1st day he was so sure he would hate it here but that changed the moment she offered him her friendship.

Being in 2nd grade they din't have to know much or expirience much to know the meaning of being bestfrinds. They stuck to eachother through out the day. They played together. During break they would sit together and talk anything and everything. Angel spoke about diva endlessly and A spoke about his elder brother the same way. They promised eachother to inroduce their siblings very soon.
