Chapter Twenty-One - I'm Sorry and I Wanna Go Home
I wanted to wait until 12am to post this, idk why I just did.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL AND I HOPE YOU HAVE A FESTIVE DAY!

I ran out of that room like my life depended on it. My eyes scanned the room for Sam, but I couldn't find her anywhere. So, I looked for my next best option and he just so happened to be talking with one of the guys who was playing the beer pong game earlier. I probably looked stupid and I didn't care, as I ran full speed at Hunter. His eyes widened when I nearly crashed into him.
"Hunter, come here!" I grabbed his wrist.
"What are you doing?" He furrowed his eyebrows, trying to remove his wrist from my grasp. "What is wrong with you?"
The guy next to him stared at me awkwardly. His opinion did not matter to me; he was probably drunk out of his mind and he wouldn't even remember what my face looked like the next day. I bet any kind of money he wouldn't remember the conversation he and Hunter were just having. However, as of right now, that was besides the point. There were bigger fish to fry.
"Just come here!" I desperately said, clutching his wrist as tight as I could.
"What?" He said, placing a hand on my shoulder. "I'm starting to get worried now. For the millionth time, what is wrong?"
"You should be!" I screamed.
Thankfully, the music was too loud for my scream to catch anyone's attention. The guy that was standing right next to us just rolled his eyes and walked away. Good. He wasn't of importance anyway.
"Follow me." I told him and sprinted off towards the bedroom again. I turned my head back a couple of times to make sure he was following me—which he was.
When we entered the room, Hunter immediately reacted to what he saw. The guy that was still on top of Eliza was about to take his pants off. That was before Hunter hurriedly threw the guy off of Eliza.
"What the hell is wrong with you!?" He shouted at the guy.
"So, you're telling me you wouldn't want a piece of that." The guy smirked, lifting himself off the ground.
His fly was open and his belt was still wrapped around Eliza's wrists.
"You're dumb as hell. Eliza is a person and she has feelings!" Hunter shoved the guy and the guy's back flew into the bedroom wall.
Eliza laid there on the bed with a tear stained face, messy hair, and tied up with the belt.
Hunter turned his attention back towards Eliza and mumbled, "oh my God, I'm so sorry."
He unwrapped the belt from around her wrists and threw the belt at the guy's face. I hoped it bruised him later.
"Get the hell out of here!" Hunter hissed through his teeth. The guy didn't say anything else, he didn't even put his belt back on because he was already making his way out of the room.
Eliza rubbed her wrists that were red from being handled rough and wrapped up. She was crying hard and I truly did feel sorry for the girl.
I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be raped. I guess I wanted to help her because of what had happened to me. Deonte didn't rape me, but the thought of him doing something so vulgar really scared me. I couldn't let that happen to Eliza. No one deserved to be raped. I couldn't live with myself if I let that happen to her.
I was relieved that I got help and that it was Hunter. He was a good guy and he liked her, so of course he would've stopped the guy from raping her. He was much more intimidating than I was. I didn't think I could get the guy off of Eliza by myself.
Eliza wrapped her arms around Hunter and cried into his chest.
"Thank you." She said over and over again.
I could tell Hunter was surprised that she hugged him by the way his eyes seemed to glow. His cheeks turned red and a small smile played on the corner of his lips. Then, he kissed her blonde hair and said, "you're welcome."
I decided to give them their privacy because Eliza almost got raped and it would've been awkward if I stayed in the room. Hunter would take care of everything, I didn't doubt that for a second.
It really was time for me to go; I was glad that Eliza wasn't raped. All of this was crazy. The party was crazy, Sam getting an attitude with me because I wanted to leave—it was a good thing I didn't—and the dumb ass guy who didn't care about how Eliza would feel after he thought he was going to have his way with her.
This was my first and last high school party. I would be perfectly content staying cooped up in my house watching Netflix and being the usual quiet girl I was. If nobody messed with me, then I wasn't going to mess with them. I really needed to leave. I wasn't even going to go back to Sam's house; I would just tell her to drop me off at home.
I looked around for about ten minutes and I saw her dancing with the guy that was standing by Hunter and I earlier. He was clearly drunk and we were not about to have another repeat of what just happened to Eliza. I was going to pull Sam away from having fun and she was going to be mad about it, but I wasn't going to let anything happen to my best friend. She was sober; I didn't think she drank anything tonight, so I wasn't going to let that guy do anything with her.
"Sam, let's go." I grabbed her arm and started to pull her away.
"NaNa, you've been a real bitch all night." Sam huffed, yanking her arm away from my hold.
"I'm sorry." I groaned.
"You don't sound like it."
"Well I am, now can you take me home? I wanna go home. You can come back, I don't care, but please get me out of here." I sounded desperate. Why wasn't she complying?
"Fine, I'll take you home." She nodded her head and I sighed a breath of relief.
