"Aish" he shouted. He looked at Cassie and pointed with rage in his brown eyes. "You" he screamed. A sophisticated woman approached the scene. She looked like a model out of a vogue magazine. The elegant thin frame brown haired woman in white approached the idiot. "Oppa" she said in a childlike tone. They both started speaking in Korean and Cassie could not understand what they were saying exactly, but she could tell it wasn't anything good. Steven rushes to his daughter's aide to make sure that she was okay. "Sweetheart are you alright?" he asked. "I'm good" she said.
As the two debonair individuals talked to one another openly Cassie could see that her father was getting really angry. "Dad, what's wrong?" she asked. Steven shouted back in Korean and it became an all out verbal brawl that Cassie was stuck in the middle of. Seong Tae Hyun rushes to see what happened. He tries to calm everyone down. He cleans up the mess and offers them a free meal. Cassie decided to step in and take the blame since it was her fault the accident happened. "I'm so sorry again. I'll pay if I ruined your suit" she explained. The woman rolls her eyes at Cassie for no apparent reason as she continued to baby that loser.
Suddenly, the pair walk towards the owner of the noodle shop. They have a brief discussion and moments later the elderly woman begins to weep. Seong Tae Hyun comes to his mother's side and tries to console her. Steven and Cassie stare at one another in shock because they couldn't believe what was happening over a spilled drink. The two snobs walk away with smirks on their faces. Steven and Cassie approach mother and son to find out what was going on. "What happened?" Cassie asked. "They threaten to shut down the shop if we were to serve you" he insisted.
"They can't do that" she explained. "Actually, he can. Do you know who that man is?" he proclaimed. Cassie shrugged her shoulders. "Well, his name is Cho Joon Hwa and he is the CEO of GM media (Ganghan Media Group). He is a very rich and powerful arrogant bastard as you can see. He has a lot of influences so, if he decided to shut this place down he could with the snap of his finger" he confessed. Cassie couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had a plan and it was going to work so she thought... Cassie decided to catch up to those two but before she could reach them they were already gone.
As she looks up at the sky she could see a glare from the corner of her eye. It was a massive billboard and that douche bag's face was on it. He was selling some kind of body product that she didn't care much to even notice. Cassie goes back inside to say her apologies. The day was going so well until that happened. It was time for Cassie and her dad to head back home. Two hours later due to traffic, they finally reached their destination. "How was the trip?" her mother asked. "It was alright I guess" she stated in a glum demeanor. Cassie took her bags upstairs and got on the laptop.
"What's wrong with Cassie?" Charlene insisted. "It's a long story" Steven mentioned. "Well, I have all day" she confessed. Cassie decided to look up this Cho Joon Hwa. "Who are you really?" she wondered. The guy was right. This jerk practically owns most of Korea. Cassie had to figure out a way to fix this whole ordeal. It was just a simple accident. Now, the only problem is actually meeting him without anything going oddly wrong. "Well, I have to do this on my own with no interference. Tomorrow, I am going to go to GM headquarters and demand that he speak to me" she thought.
"That probably won't work. But, I have to try for their sake" she said. Slowly, Cassie begin to drift off into a deep like coma sleep. It was a long day. A few hours later, she awoken from her sudden nap. She began looking for her phone to see what time it was but she couldn't find it. So, Cassie walked downstairs to see if she put it down somewhere and no luck. She heads back upstairs to her parents room and knocks on the door. "Come in" they said. "Hey guys. Have you seen my phone anywhere?" she asked. "No. But, I can call it to see if it's laying around somewhere in the house" Charlene said.
"It rings a few times then goes straight to voicemail" she added. "Did you check the car" he says. "Nope" she said. The bell rings and my dad tries to head downstairs to answer the door. "I got it. I have to go to the car anyways" she persisted. As Cassie yawns walking down the steps like a zombie, she opens the door and to her surprise Seong Tae Hyun was standing in front of it. She quickly slammed the door in his face. Cassie realized her hair was a mess and she looked crazy. She tussled with her hair in the mirror near the door and ate a peppermint from the green bowl.
Cassie opens the door again. "Hi, what brings you here?" she said in confusion. "I'm bringing dinner and you left this behind earlier" he explained handing Cassie her phone. "Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. I thought I lost it. How much do I owe you for the food?" she indicated. "It's on the house" he smiled. Moments later, Charlene tells her daughter to let him in the house. "She giving you a hard time Hyun?" Charlene asked. "Not at all" he laughed. "Cass be a dear and set the table. We have a guest" she declared. "That's okay. You don't have to trouble yourself" he mentioned.
"I heard what happened earlier. I am sorry that incident occurred. Please stay for a little while" she pleaded. He looked at Cassie as if he needed approval. "Sure. Take a seat" Cassie said. My dad came down several minutes later. "Ahjussi" Hyun says in a cheerful tone. "What brings you here my friend?" Steven asked. "I want to apologize from earlier and your daughter left her phone behind" he said politely. "You didn't have to come out all this way. It wasn't your fault" she said glancing at her daughter. All eyes were on Cassie so she just stared at the floor. "Did you tell Hyun thank you for bringing your phone back?" her mother proclaimed.
"Yes mother. I also offered him money for the food he brought us?" she expressed in a delightful tone. "He is such a gentlemen. How come you don't have a girlfriend if you don't mind me asking" she said. "I did at one point but it didn't workout so much. But, now I can focus on my career" he said in a shy manner. "I'm sorry to hear that sweetheart" Charlene admitted. "What did you make this time Hyun" Steven says as he interrupted the conversation. "Bulgogi with kimchi. It's marinated beef with spicy cabbage" he explained to Cassie.
Everyone began to eat the delicious meal. It was nothing like she ever tasted before. It was absolutely amazing. The meat was rich and tender and the cabbage was fiery but good. "Wow. You should be a chef" Cassie commended. "That's my dream. I want to be an international chef" he stated. "Cassie is a teacher. She is really good too" Charlene professed. "That's awesome. Maybe you can teach English here" Hyun insisted. "That could be good for your resume" Charlene confirmed. Cassie couldn't say much because she did not want to embarrass her parents so she let them have this moment.
"Come again Hyun. You are always welcome" Steven said. "Kamsahamnida" he smiled bowing to Cassie's parents. As she escorted him to the door he abruptly turns around. "This is very difficult for me to say. I really like your parents but they must not come by the shop any longer. If he were to find out that you or your parents ever visited the shop my family would lose everything. I can still make deliveries to your house if you want" Hyun explained.
"It's okay. I understand. I don't want you or your family to risk losing everything over something I did by accident. I will explain to my parents in the morning. Don't beat yourself up about it" she says tapping him on the shoulder. As he walked away Cassie had a sudden urge to go meet a certain CEO and spill some more things on his fancy clothes.
