Chapter 11: Family Affairs

As the sun rays beam through the window hitting his creamy skin Cho opens his almond shaped eyes. "Aishh" he says while grabbing his head due to the hangover. He rolls out of bed noticing his alarm clock. It reads 9:45 am. He quickly gets up and goes to take a shower. Fifteen minutes later he gets dressed and decides to pick out an accessory to go with with his dark metallic jacket he chooses a silver watch. As he puts the watch on he steps on a small piece of debris. He bends down to see what he stepped on and cuts his finger on a tiny shard of glass. "Ouch" he says as he sucks his finger to stop the bleeding. 

"Note to self remind me to get a new maid" he said speaking into his phone. A black luxury sedan sits outside his house. He enters the vehicle and drives off to work. Cho looks at his watch it reads 10:37 am but the clasp keeps coming loose. "That's strange" he noticed. He finally arrives at work and the entire staff bow in his honor. Cassie notices people bending to acknowledge him then she rolls her eyes in disgust. Cho finally walks in his office. "Nice of you to join us" she said sarcastically.

Cho didn't pay her any attention he kept fumbling with his watch. "Hello, hello" she said several times. "I'll be with you in a minute. I'm just trying to fix this stupid watch" he uttered. Cassie makes her way towards his desk and grabs his hand gently. "Maybe if you knew how to take care of precious things this would not happen" she declared as she pop the clasp back into place. Cho was lost in thought for a moment. Cassie remembered seeing that watch before then her phone rings. "Hyun. Hi, what's up?" she said. 

She walks off to continue the conversation. Cho finally snaps back into reality. He begins to stare at her while she talks on the phone. He notices her flawless tanned skin, chocolate eyes and that girlish smile. He wipes his face with an embroidered cloth. Finally she gets off the phone. Secretary Kim enters the office. He smiles and nods at Cassie. "Sir, we have several meetings that you must attend" he said before he was interrupted. "Okay" he said. Kim looked rather confused because his boss was never this easygoing. 

Cho got up and walked with his co-worker exiting his office not realizing the watch had fell off. Cassie got bored and started roaming around in Cho's office. She stumbled upon the silver watch and noticed an engraving on the back. She reads the initials C.M.L. "Where have I seen this" she thought. "Taehyun. This is his watch. Why does Cho have his watch?" she wondered. A woman walks in and says to Cassie "There is someone here to see you" she said. Taehyun enters the room. 

"Hey Hyun what brings you here?" she asked. "I didn't know who to talk too so I came here to speak with you" he said with a worried tone. "Alright. What's the issue?" she said calmly. "Last night I accidentally broke your bosses watch and... she interrupts him. "You mean this watch" she showed him. "Yes. I mean no sort of. It's complicated" he said. "Try me" she said. "Last night your boss was drunk and I offered to bring him home I don't know why but I did and when I got to his house I started looking around and I found his watch or my watch at least that's what I thought I saw and I dropped it on the floor. I didn't mean to then I swapped his watch with mine" he said in frustration. 

Cho walks in his office to see the two having a discussion. He doesn't pay them any attention. He walks over looking for his watch cause he realized it came off his wrist again. He startles Cassie and Hyun who didn't see him enter. He notices his watch in Cassie's hand as he grabs for it he glances at Hyun and sees a similar watch in his hand but the bezel is cracked. He  flashbacks to the morning when he cut himself on the glass in his closet. He remembers going to get food at a commoners restaurant it was Hyun and his mother he got the food from. Cho got a little drunk and Hyun brought him home. He remembers Hyun was in his house.

He stares at the watch in Hyun's hand and felt something was off about the clasp being broken on his watch....
