~Welcome Home~

The flight there was short and I couldn't wait to get off and go home. I climbed off of the plane and straight out of the exit with Aiden on my heels. I flagged down the first taxi I could and I asked the driver to take me to RedBird Reservation.

Many of the Lycans, or Werewolves as many people called them lived on reservations and I mostly lived with them if I could. But sometimes being a vampire hybrid in a Lycan community made for some interesting conversations when other vampire relatives decided to visit.

When the driver crossed over into the RedBird territory I looked around before clearing my throat, "Could you let me out here please, I know where I'm going." I pulled out a wad of notes and handed them over to the driver as he pulled the car to a stop at the side of the road.

"Thanks Miss." He smiled at me over the back of the seat.

"Keep the change." I gave him a large tip and got out of the car, Aiden had been silent and hidden away in the ring for the whole journey and I liked it that way. It was quiet and peaceful without having a rambunctious spook on my hands.

I watched the car turn around and head back before I took of into the trees and full out run in the general direction of the Packs home. I missed running through these woods and I took my time as I stopped by an old tree and looked around. Nothing had really changed, the trees looked bigger but it was the same place I had been not long ago.

I picked my running back up as I remembered the path in my head, but I quickly came to a halt as a small grey unfamiliar wolf jumped out in front of me baring her teeth. I stopped and showed her my palms.

"I do not wish to harm you or your Pack, but I am here to see Tanya and Megan. I am a friend of the Pack." I said in a calm voice but the Lycan obviously had other ideas and jumped into fighting mode.

She pounced into the air and dived for my throat but I was quicker than the younger Lycan and dodged out of the way grabbing her tail in the process and throwing her in the direction she had come. She growled and showed her teeth but I merely held my ground as she continued to try and attack me. She was young and inexperienced as she jumped at me.

I had thrown her further away from me this time and there was a small clearing between us now, she growled and snarled. I watched as her hind leg dropped, she was tensing and getting ready to pounce, again.

A branch snapping and a loud bark made my head turn and my attention swerve to the right as a bigger more familiar grey wolf jumped in front of me, just in time to knock the other Lycan out of the way of attacking me.

I watched as the two big wolves growled at each other before the smaller and younger of the two turned tail and ran back towards the Packs territory.

"Megan." I nodded as the grey wolf stood in front of me, her wolfish grin was evident on her face. And she phased in front of me, nudity to these people was no longer an issue and I chuckled when she enveloped me in a massive hug.

"Arée where have you been, Baby Girl? We've been worried sick." She pushed me back to arms length and smiled at me, she stilled looked nineteen, not a day older or younger but I knew she was at least a century old just like Tanya. Her long, thick blonde hair flowed down her back and she was definitely curvier than the last time I saw her.

"Dain's been trying to hunt me down again, but it's not working. I'm sorry I left so suddenly, I didn't realise I had so little time. I hope you and Tanya weren't put out by my leaving." I smiled as she shook her head vigorously,

"No, no of course not. We understand completely, Baby Girl. That pesky little git better not be tormenting my, Arée!" She laughed as she pulled me along with her.
