~Disturbing Discoveries~

I kissed his nose as I jumped from his waist. He grumbled as he let me go and settled into the couch with Louise. This was beginning to be one of the longest nights of my life.

I rolled my eyes as I approached the brawling misfits, "Guys, I swear to god if you don't stop right now I'm going to go all ninja on your asses!" I shouted as I placed one hand on my hip as I pointed at them.

"Dude you really need to get laid." Logan's voice ripped me from glaring at the two brawling as I glared at him, he chuckled as Kayden launched at him.

I rolled my eyes and rubbed the bridge of my nose, "This is ridiculous." I muttered as I turned back to Lucian and Shawn. Shawn was now wrestling with a very pissed off wolf, I shook my head as I walked over and grabbed the back of Shawn's top and threw him in the direction of Kay.

"Kay, hold him for me please?" I shouted over, he threw Logan away from him as he caught Shawn around the waist and pulled him to a stop. The growling behind me increased and I turned slowly to Lucian, my eyes widened slightly when I realised he'd given over to his wolf completely.

I shifted quickly forgetting the clothing that enclosed me as it tore away, 'Kayden you might have to help me with this one too.' I muttered into his mind quietly, 'He's given over to his wolf.'

I didn't turn to acknowledge Kayden but I knew he'd heard me. My eyes narrowed as I took in my friend's frame, he was shaking from head to toe and I knew he was desperately trying to retake control.

Being only a quarter Lycan meant I didn't inherit the entire heritage that was being a Lycan, I didn't have a wolfs soul imbedded into my mind when I shifted. Unlike others of the Lycan variety. I wondered mildly if Kayden had one, but I was suddenly pulled back into the present as Lucian lunged at me. I yelped in surprise as I back peddled slightly, but as I righted myself I swiped my paw across his flank.

He buckled under the pain and although he was bigger than me I bit down into his scruff and dragged him onto his side. His jaws snapped closely to my face but I held him still, I watched out of the corner of my eye as Kayden handed Shawn over to Logan as he disappeared for a second then returned with a roll of tape.

I winced slightly as the thought of having to rip that tape off afterwards. Kayden wrestled with Lucian's head as he tried to close his maw. I loosened my grip on him slightly but I made sure not to let go until Kayden had both his jaw and his legs taped.

I stepped away when he was finished and watched in anguish as Lucian still struggled against the restraints, I knew it wouldn't hold him for any longer than a few minutes but I hoped it was long enough for him to retake control and calm down.

A thought suddenly occurred to me when I turned around to see Louise watching Lucian with unshed tears clouding her eyes. I whined quietly as I padded over to her.

'Go sit with him, it'll help him. Make sure he knows you're there, talk to him. Love him.' I let me head hang lower as I flicked my eyes back to Lucian, I'd only ever seen my friend go through that once. I don't even think I'd wish it on my Brother.

"Thank you." She whispered gently as she flitted to his side, she lifted his head into her lap and stroked his ears. His body had stopped shaking and struggling as she petted him mindlessly, I watched as his breathing slowed and his eyes regained some of the humanness it had lacked a few minutes ago.

"I think its working." Kayden's voice made me look up and I smiled inwardly, he was watching them and I could tell he was thinking about us and comparing them as to how we react to each other. He caught my eye as he looked up and he smiled widely.
