~Early Blessings~

As soon as he pulled onto the drive I could see them. All four of them stood side by side glaring in our direction and I couldn't help the small teeter of laughter that escaped my mouth as Kayden breathed deeper.

"Shit." He whispered in my direction as the car got closer to the house, I turned and grabbed his hand and smiled to him. He smiled back and I heard a small growl escape from someone's lips when they saw us together.

"Stay in the car until I tell you." I whispered to him, then turned my attention back to my Uncle and his family stood on the front steps. Louise's mouth was pulled into a huge smile as she waved at me discreetly from the back of the group. Shawn noticed and nudged her with his elbow as he turned back to me and rolled his eyes.

Kayden stopped the car and I jumped out and around the car towards my family, as I heard a second car door open and I turned in time to see Kayden getting out of the car and walking closely behind me.

I scowled, "What part of stay in the car did you not understand?" I hissed under my breath and rolled my eyes as he shrugged and pushed me forward with his hand on my lower back. Philipé didn't miss the contact and I watched as his eyes narrowed and I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze.

I shook myself mentally and scolded my stupid teenage behaviour, I shouldn't be acting my physical age of seventeen.

"Can I have a word with you?" Philipé growled to me through clenched teeth and I sighed, here comes the shouting, I took a step forward and felt Kayden follow me, I stopped and flinched when Philipé turned around, "Alone." He bit off the word and stalked into his house waiting for me to follow. I turned around and gave Kayden a stern look.

"Stay here and play nice with the others while I'm gone." I patted his head, well tried to and laughed when he bent down for me.

"Will do, Babe." He caught me in a hug and quickly kissed my cheek before letting go, I almost fell backwards but I quickly righted myself and followed after my Uncle with a sigh.

I shut the front door behind me when my Uncle turned on me, his face was unnaturally flushed and his eyes were darkening to a lethal black. I sighed.

"What the hell do you think you're doing with him? I can smell Taiven all over you and him!" He bit off the last word and growled, "Have you got a death wish, do you know how much risk I put my family in just hiding you! If your Brother ever comes here and finds you, my family will be in grave danger!" He stormed as I stood there.

"Of course I know all the dangers, Philipé!" I argued back, this was one of the reasons why I didn't like staying in one place with one family at any time.

"You obviously don't, if you're rubbing your freedom in Taiven's face!" He snarled and I watched as he took a deep breath, "If you're going to continue to be reckless and immature you will have to move out, Arée. I'm sorry but I refuse to put my family in such a dangerous position." He breathed the last couple of words and I smiled wearily.

"Uncle you don't need to worry about me and my friend outside. Taiven has changed, I didn't believe it at first but I do now." I said as I dragged him into the front room, I could hear Kayden outside talking with Louis and Shawn. He was fine for a while, Clarissa didn't seem to be upset with him being here.

"How can you be so naive as to believe what he says?" My Uncle asked with a hint of hurt in his voice. I shook my head in frustration as we sat down together.

"Uncle you have to believe me. Taiven has changed and for the better. He has left the Court for good, and my Brother has disowned him it seems." I said and I saw a flicker of astonishment pass Philipé's face.
