~Two Of A Kind~

"Arée, your eyes!" Louise hissed and I closed them. Hopefully none of the humans had noticed the little display. I breathed again and finally felt my eyes haze back. I blinked and looked to the shocked immortals, then to the other male.

His blonde, almost white hair shone brightly in the fluorescent lighting as it hung beautifully over his right eye. He was hot. His black top clung to his defined muscles jealously and the baggy grey jeans hung dangerously low on his hips. But the one thing that did stand out from his tanned face was his eyes, the green shone brightly as did the little flecks of black in them.

"You're like me." The words were soft and from him. I cocked my head to the side.

"You're the one who was in the woods yesterday." I said and he lowered his head with a knowing smirk on his lips. I scowled, "I caught the scent but I couldn't keep it. You're powerful. More so than me." I stared at him in fascination, "You're an equal split too."

"I know, you intrigued me so I followed your scent." He looked at me, "I didn't know there were any others like me." He said quietly.

"Nor did I."

The two families of immortals had gone eerily quieted while we talked and I looked to them. The cafeteria had gone back to the normal volume and nobody was watching us, with much interest. I couldn't say the same for the two groups of friends that huddled unknowingly around the immortals.

I chuckled to break the silence. Our total exchange was said too low for the humans and I sighed.

"My names Kayden." He smiled gently then nodded to the other two immortals with him, "That's Grace. Who tried to hit you. And that's Logan. The passive one." Grace growled at me again and I chuckled low in my chest.

"I'm Arée. This is Shawn and Louise, they're my Cousins." I knew they knew each other when they merely huffed to one another, I growled and lowered my body slightly ready to fight when Grace stalked forward.

"Don't growl at me you inferior Child." She snarled at me and I stepped up, I could already feel my body shaking wanting to change forms and rip her to shreds.

"If you talk to me again like that, I won't be able to restrain myself from ripping you apart." I said slowly biting off the last couple of words, I felt my eye glazing again. I closed them in concentration.

"Grace you're making her angry." Kayden's voice was cut off by Grace's growl.

"Don't you dare confront me, you're just as bad as her. Neither of you should be alive!" She snarled, and my eyes snapped open. I turned to face Shawn and Louise.

"Get me...Out of here...Now!" I was changing and I couldn't do that in front of humans. The pain that racked through my body from refusing the change made my eyes tear up and run down my face in torrents.

When Shawn saw my face he paled unnaturally and picked me up, he held me to his chest and ran through the crowds of people in the room. I could hear Louise and the others following us, they had told their human friends to stay put.

"Shawn run!" Louise screamed behind us and I felt my back contorting in pain, I couldn't hold myself together for much longer. I felt Shawn pick up the speed and finally fresh air on my cool skin.
