My High School Life

Chapter 1:

This is my story of my school life as well as my love life, if you can call it that, my name is Scarlet Wolf I'm a redhead, green eyes and I'm a sophomore in high school. I had moved into town a year ago, I had been bullied since then, the only friend I had was Daniella, we had multiple classes together. Now I live with my mom and little brother, my brother is in middle school he's now a 7th grader , we all have become very close since my father left us and I hate the reasons he left. I was driving to the school after I had dropped my brother off. Entering the school I spot Daniella pretty quick " hey Daniella, how's it going" she stops and smiles at me " good... AHHH!" Danielle suddenly screams scaring me half to death " Daniella what the hell" I covered mouth others already snickering and giving us creepy looks " sorry I just love your beanie" alright I guess I should tell you what I had put on before I left the house. I had put on a simple striped shirt with some jeans, I also grabbed my favorite beanie, a black beanie, and my black converse. " Daniella I had have this beanie for years why do say this now" she shrugs as we walk to my locker. I start placing my bag and other objects into my locker when we hear loud laughing " ugh great and I thought I could avoid the queen of Bit-" I was interrupted by another girly scream " eww look at the kind of the people the principle let's attend this school" I glare at Brittany, she is the one who has been bullying me since I moved here last year " hey Brittany it's nice to see you" I fake a smile when they surround me and Danielle, she only laughs " I thought you were going to move after school last year" her smile disappeared " yeah no I was so flattered at all the attention you gave me so I decided to stay because of you" I grin at her as the others snicker. Brittany gave me a glare " well if you please excuse us we are going to class" I wrap my arm around Daniella and walk in the direction of our first class.

We sat in our usual seats in the back corner of the class my desk near the window. I was staring out the window when someone dragged me back " Hey... Scarlet right" I look up to see a cute blonde guy with the bluest of eyes " yeah can I help you" I question him he rubs the back of his neck " ummm well I already know that I am going to fail this class so do you think you can tutor me for some of my other classes as well" I nod, as he walks away I hear Daniella laugh " what" she looks at me with tears in her eyes " do you know who that is" I look blankly at her " that guy is Jason Skylar he is Brittany's boyfriend who is also in all sports here at the school" I face palm my face in stupidity " why does everything have consequences" Daniella only laughs at me.

It's lunch now and me and Daniella sit at a table close to the door, we were walking to our table after we got our food and we passed the "popular" table " wait you asked her to help you" I feel Brittany point in my direction " yeah what's the problem" Jason asks his girlfriend who groans "nothing". I was surprised that Brittany left me alone the whole lunch period, " hey Scarlet are coming to the football game tonight" I think about the question " probably, my brother has started playing too so he would want to go and watch the team" she giggles and the bell rings for us to go to our next class. After 7th period I got a call from my mom " sweetheart when you get out go pick up your brother and use the money I gave you to pay for tickets for the game alright" I sigh " yeah I will mom see you later" "bye and be careful" and I hang up. And of course after school I picked up my brother and payed for the tickets and found a good spot in the stands, before the game started Daniella and her cousin Justin came and joined me and Jesse, my brother. " so Scarlet you're looking really good" Justin seems to be flirting with me " Ewww" I turn to Jesse who was pretending to throw up " haha.. Thanks Justin you look good too" he gives me a heart stopping smile " could you two stop flirting" Daniella sits between me and Justin " alright Daniella" I chuckle and keep my brother from being kicked out of the stadium. It was almost half time and Daniella leaned in and told me something " hey Scar don't look now but somebody is giving you the look over" I give Daniella a look, she points to the field at a sweaty blonde haired boy " Jason Skylar" she grins " oh please Daniella he is just looking for Brittany" I push her away from my face " wow you really have bad memory... Brittany is the head cheerleader" I was completely shocked when she told me " wait she is" I was dumbfounded. I sat there in my place watching the game as I would catch Jason staring up into the stands in my direction, I only got up to go to the bathroom and concession stand when I got hungry. The game ended and my brother and Daniella had me running down the stairs to the bottom of the stands, we got to the bottom and clapped each player's hand and told them 'good job'. I saw Jason come up in the line of players, our hands meet and he gives me a smile and asked " what did you think" my eyes widened at the question " umm it was alright I guess but I was only here because of my little brother" he looked to the quiet little boy beside me, his eyes were sparkling with admiration of the star player before him. He gives Jesse a smile " hey can you two wait for me I would like to talk to you two" I give him a nod and guide Jesse to the locker rooms " you know that guy sis" I shrug " I know who he is but we never really talk" he gives me an 'oh'. We wait there for awhile with Daniella but she leaves, Justin was the one who stayed and kept me company. Jason finally emerged from the locker room " hey sorry for making you two....wait" his grin faded " oh hey I'm Justin" Justin holds out his hand to Jason, who looks at me, " he's Daniella's, my friend, cousin" he nods and gives him a' sup' " so you wanted to talk to my brother right" I ask and my brother brings out his chest and gave Jason a brave looking stare " yeah, so what's your name kid" Jason kneels down eye level to Jesse and gives him a friendly slap on the arm. Jesse tells him how he plays football at his school and how great he thinks he is, " hey Scar I'm gonna go ahead and go it's getting late so" I nod and say goodbye and turn my attention to my brother and Jason, " hey sis I'm tired do you think we can go home now" I nod and toss him the keys " here why don't you go and get in" when Jesse was out of sight Jason spoke " so what's up with you and that Justin guy" Jason seemed angry " what do you mean" " well you guys seem close" I chuckle with him getting more angry " well of course we are close he is practically a brother to Daniella" he sighs " I mean more than that" I just look at him before I realized what he meant and I could feel my face heat up " well yeah I like him and I do think he is cute but we aren't dating or anything" I give him a suspicious look " why do you care anyway" he flinched and turned away " no reason I just got the hint that you two had a thing for each other.... Well I should get going so see ya at school" we walk our separate paths. As I turned the corner someone pushed me up against the fence " WHAT THE HELL" I yell at my attacker before the pain set into my face as they punched me " this what you get for flirting with my boyfriend" Brittany was pissed with me just talking with Jason " and this isn't anything compared to anything to come" she walked off, knowing she was gone I got up and went to my car where Jesse was asleep.
