You whispered just moments after your lips were on mine,
The cool November air showing our ragged breaths in white,
Our eyes, mine green and yours blue, lit up with delight,
Your angular nose reddening just slightly at the tip,
My eyes captured by yours in a vice like grip,
My fingers clasped in your extremely larger ones,
You blowing warm air, entwining them once done,
Your jacket around my shoulders, drenched in your scent,
My head on your shoulder and off we went,
Slowly skipping into the dark night sky,
The stars shine bright, our gazes fixed high,
A shooting star races right past,
Make a wish, "I want this to last."-L.H.
