Jade's pov. //
When I got home this morning, I ran up to my room, and fell asleep again. I wish I could just sleep forever now, but no. I guess that's not gonna happen.
I pulled out my phone and saw that there were several missed calls and messages from Billie.
"Hey. Are you okay?"
"Deen, i'm sorry that had to happen."
"When he came back into the cafeteria, i told him that he kind of deserved it. He lied to you, and that's not right..."
"He said he was really sorry, and he started crying."
"I probably wasn't supposed to tell you that..."
"Anyway, I just hope your okay. Call me when you want to talk.."
And this is why Billie Joe is my best friend.
I smiled a little and decided to call him. I know for a fact that he's either at home with Mike, at Gilman, or in his room writing a song, so either way, i can still talk to him.
It didn't even ring once before he picked up.
"Hey! You're alive!" He said, happily.
"I was sleeping.. sorry.." I said.
"For ten hours?"
"In my defense, I was sad and tired, okay.." I laughed a little.
He sighed and said, "Look, I know you probably don't want to hear this.. but I wasn't lying when I said that Tre was crying.."
I paused for a moment. I felt really bad that i made him cry... but it's not my fault.
"Oh." I mumbled.
"Yeah.."
"I don't know what to do, Billie... I love him so much.." I said.
"Give it a couple days... then let him explain himself." He said.
"I'm trusting you on this, y'know."
"I know. But in the mean time, come over. You haven't been over here in a while!" He shouted.
"Who's gonna be there?" I asked.
"Nobody. Mike is at his house and my moms at work."
"Come get me, butt head." I laughed.
"Alright, i'll be over in a little bit."
We hung up and i shoved my phone in my pocket and ran downstairs.
It didn't take Billie very long to get here, and it didn't take very long for us to get to his house either. When we got there, we ran up the porch steps and into the house.
"Come with me, I wanna show you the song that everybody thought was about you.." He said a bit sarcastically towards the end.
I laughed and followed him to his garage, where he quickly strapped on 'Blue' and got in front of a small mic. He began playing a very catchy, yet beautiful love song. I'm gonna guess this is 2,000 Light Years Away.
"Holy fucking shit." I said, smiling.
"Is it good?" He asked, taking off Blue and setting it back onto its stand.
"Yes its good! This Adrienne girl is very lucky, if i say so myself." I laughed.
He laughed as well and said, "Yeah, well... she lives in Minnesota, so the only one who isn't lucky is me."
