Winning the incentive was something I didn’t expect. I guess that it was great idea what Kyle and I have come up with, something simple and yet different from what everyone did, in terms of combining our talents while the others ventured on their own.
To me, I was already taking notes earlier that this was Zayn or Niall’s show, that they were probably the ones who’s gonna get the incentives of free passes, so hearing my name and Kyle’s was something unexpected, and there was a part of me that felt like floating in air of how happy I was.
“Congratulations, Chloe!” Megan cheered as we were about to head to the cafeteria for some snacks. Kyle had another class after music so we had to separate ways. Well, we’ve got loads of time to catch up anyways.
“Thanks.” I simply smiled, but it surely felt good knowing I won over the other students, Zayn especially. It was the first time since we’ve met I have won something against him. Though when I was called, it was him who I was looking at, trying to read what he had in his mind, but he only expressed a smile.
“You did great! Didn’t know you could sing!” Niall came from behind and greeted me, almost shoving me to the wall at how manly he was shaking my body. He was that hyper, bouncing up and down like there was a trampoline underneath both of his shoes.
From the corner of my eye, Zayn was slowly walking slowly towards us, admiring Niall’s energetic bouts, shaking his head and smiling. Weird, I know. That guy has some serious mood swings.
“Thanks.” I acknowledge him and pushed myself away from him, before I get dizzy watching what he was doing.
How much food did Zayn feed him?
Rather, how many sweets did Niall take? He looks like high, to be honest.
“Where are you girls heading to?” He asked, still bouncing, but now in front of a star struck Megan.
“We’re going to get food at the cafeteria.” Megan uttered. Niall’s eyes went wide once he heard we were getting food.
“Food… food… I want fooooooood!” Niall shouted. As if on cue, his stomach grumbled making me laugh. “Let’s get food, but bleh, not at the cafeteria.” He said, scrunching his nose in disgust.
So I guess I found my answer, cafeteria food is not appetizing.
“Sadly, we don’t have a ride to go out. Our parents haven’t driven our cars here yet.” Megan explained, now looking down, perhaps she now also hated to go to the cafeteria, no matter how much hungry we are.
“You think we’ll leave you here while we get food outside?” Niall raised his eyebrows waiting for an answer from us. Crossing his arms over his chest, he made an annoyed sound that we think lowly of him to do that. “Of course, I won’t leave you two behind.”
Pulling both our arms, Niall led us to Zayn’s car at the parking lot. Zayn was following us behind slowly.
“Can’t you get any faster?” Niall screamed impatiently. He took the words out of my mouth.
As soon as Zayn got to his car, a girl yelled at him, getting his attention. Turning around to look for the owner of the voice, a model-like lady appeared in his arms, hugging him tightly.
“Who’s that?” I heard Megan asked Niall.
“That’s Lexi. His girlfriend.”
“What are you doing here?” Zayn asked when he pulled out from the hug, though they were still holding hands.
“Came to visit my boyfriend, I’ve missed you so much!” The girl, I mean Lexi exclaimed, hugging him back and giving him a kiss. “Actually I’m here to stay, my dad finally allowed me to get into college here and be with you.”
