Opening the door with my new keys I enter my new apartment. I walk around my apartment and I'm impressed. I'm staying here alone and it's really spacious. I put all my luggage in my living room and sigh. It's gonna take me days to unpack all these.
I sit on my couch waiting for the phone call to come from the Amethyst company. I've always wanted to work there. They have their own magazine and I've been given an opportunity to work as a columnist of that magazine. I've always loved writing. I turn on the television getting bored waiting.
After waiting for a good one hour I decide to take a shower. As soon as I stand up from my couch I hear my phone ring. I quickly pick it up.
"Hello." I say.
" Hello. Ms. Natalie Christine?" A female voice says from the other end.
"Yes. That's me."
"Well, I called to inform you that you join on Monday that is the day after tomorrow."
"Great. Thank you."
" My pleasure. I'm looking forward to seeing you. Have a nice day. Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
I put my phone on the dining table and walk to my suitcase to take out some comfortable clothes. I'm really tired today. I take a long shower excited about my first day at work.

After unpacking a little I decide to go to the grocery. I put on jeans and a t-shirt and grab my car keys. I drive to the grocery.
I go around the store looking for some more snacks. I look through the stacks and suddenly trip someone. God! This has happened the second time today.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry." I say.
"No, it's okay. I'm fine." The girl I tripped says.
"I'm really sorry. I should be more careful."
"It's okay. Are you new here?" She asks.
How does she know? I mean that's not something I would expect from a person I just tripped.
"Um...Yea. How did you know?" I ask curiously.
"I just assumed. By the way I'm Halsey."
"I'm Natalie. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too. Where do you live? "
Well that was fast. Why was she asking me all these questions? I just met her. I know I have trust issues for specific reasons but is it my trust issues or is she being too nosy.
"I live a few blocks away. What about you? " I say not wanting to give her my specific address.
" I live far from here. You won't know the place." She says also not letting me know the specific address.
"Oh okay."
"Okay. I gotta go. See you again ?"
"Yea. Sure."
She takes a packet of m&m 's and walks away. I noticed something when she grabbed the packet. She has a small eagle tattoo on her wrist. It was intimidating. I just grab a few more snacks and milk and walk to the counter. Paying my bills I drive back home.
