Cami
Edward gave me a grin and a flirty wink, but despite the fact that the guy was trying to gain my attention, I didn't felt the heat rush to my cheeks. I instantly turned away, my eyes searching through Sam's – hate, anger, revenge. She played with my mind by thinking she was a good goal and a friend. She made my friend, Stefan, hit on her. God was she such a bitch. I hated her, I hated her so much.
She flew me a quick smile, obviously realizing what I must've been thinking of her and she was scared of what I might do afterwards to her. Oh, I fantasized a lot of things, actually.
But I couldn't see Nat anywhere. Was it possible to have found Grace and then fled from here, abandoning me? Mr. Kennecott seemed too had read my mind like Sam, because he immediately burst out in a fit of laughter. "Oh, my sweet Cami," he began, "you don't get it, do you? Your Prince Charming is coming." He chuckled. "Well, let's say with his own security," he grimaced.
And precisely after those words escaped his mouth, a boy appeared out of the dark hall, his head down and covered by a large hood. His arms were flopped to his sides and he made no effort to walk faster or away from the people holding him down. There were at least five men surrounding him. But a woman on his right side, grasping hold of one of his hands, was the odd one out, yet looked nothing more than ice and steel like her male companions. It took me a while to realize that he was handcuffed.
"And look who's here, now," Xav purred.
Angel laughed as he went to go stand next to a girl, a little shorter than him and wrapped her in a sisterly hug. "Grets, go give your boyfriend a kiss, will ya? He's making me gag the way he's looking at you. Oh," he looked over at me and I shook my head, telling him not to even go there. But he did. "And Cami, go give your prince a cuddle." He made kissing sounds and Sam rolled her eyes at him.
"Shut up, idiot," she snapped.
He caught sight with his ex girl and grinned as he let go of his twin sister and made his way towards Sam. He coiled an arm around her waist, pulling her so close to him it made me think about that once I saw him holding Pat like that. He leant down so his lips were brushing the tips of her ear. He whispered something, but it must've something naughty, because Sam put a hand to her mouth and started to giggle.
And, oh-so-suddenly, his love for Pat had vanished and he was back with that whore.
"Be quiet, all of you!" The boss glared towards Xav, who was in the middle of kissing Greta. "You, get off of Greta now and both of you come here. Yes, right here," his gaze skipped me and Rhoda and went to Angel and Sam. "And you two. Stop with the giggling, Sam, and come stand where Greta is. And Angel, go do the work your sister asked you to do. I want you back in five minutes with everything done." Angel gave one stern nod, and walked out. The boss' eyes finally rested on mine. "Come forward, little one. I have someone you would love to meet." He looked up and gestured to the woman who was handcuffed to Nat. "Bring him forward."
She thought it another way. "But Boss–"
He held up a hand. "Unlock the cuffs and bring the boy forward. I told you to do it, you should listen to me."
She hesitated, before registering that it wouldn't be right to disobey him. She un-cuffed the boy from the metal that clung and cut in his skin and let go of his arm so it sagged back to his side. He sighed, evidently irritated the way she treated his arm and probably the rest of his body. But he didn't dare look up as he was escorted to me and Mr. Kennecott...or should I call him Boss now?
