Cami
He was leaning up against the brick wall, his body relaxed and muscles bulging out of his top. He grinned when he saw me approach. "Well, if it ain't the little pumpkin seed." He scanned me up and down, drinking in what he was seeing: "Loving the dress, by the way, Maid of Honor. Don't you go out for the occasion?" He chuckled valiantly.
The dress was heavy round my frame, the type of dress that made you slim around the waist and hips and then flowed out gracefully to your feet, creating a small train. Even in February Malibu winter it was below freezing, the ice cold atmosphere not only like sharp pins digging into my face, but along my arms. The sleeves were three-quartered, and I wished they were full length so that I wasn't so frozen, my skin now starting to burn. Damn, I should've brought my wooly coat out for this.
I plucked at my dress, wincing slightly from the sharp pains striking through me as I did so; and felt a blush creep up my face. Even if he was a dirty guy who cheated my best friend, it was still okay to notice him as sweet. "Thank you," I whispered.
He yawned. "Well, after you're done with all the 'oh, thank you, Angel, I didn't think you'd be giving me a compliment.'"
I narrowed my eyes, folding my arms over one another. "Here's the deal," I began, "you give me the information and then you give me the favor of butting out of our lives. Leave me the hell alone and never come to see Pat." I was trying to be menacing, more menacing than Angel, but it wasn't working. Nothing was working with him, a rock of a rugby player.
"You listen to me, honey-pie. I'll do whatever I want to give you and me the satisfaction we need. Okay?" He went to grab my throat, but I dodged him away.
He sighed, grinning slightly. "I know you, Angel, very well in fact. I know your weaknesses. Just hand me the information and I won't disturb you. Please," I didn't want to beg to the last person on Earth I wanted to see again, but what else could I do? I was almost helpless. I just really, really hoped someone didn't come out and see us. God no...
"Is the famous Cami Ross on her knees...for me?" His laugh was full. "Wow, I didn't know how much times changed. Are you still with that Wilson boy?" Anger bubbled up inside of me like molten lava and I clenched my fists together in tight balls. "Or no: you're not dating him anymore, because of that look on your face tells me something else." He smirked.
"I am, and it's none of your damn business, Angel."
He laughed again. "Oh my, you kill me. Fine," he sighed, "I'll give you the stuff I came to give you." He swallowed hard, suddenly becoming very uncomfortable, the atmosphere turning very dark – mutual. I shivered.
"Right, I came to tell you that after I ran out of Boss' offices, I continued on the research with you and your descendant family. I found out that you do have a little sister, Cami: a full, human, little sister. But, she doesn't look as much as you, because Jade and Adrian had her after his accident. So when he became Eric Ross. And like you, she doesn't know you exist, just that she's an only child, and that her parents are Clara and Matt White."
I couldn't believe something so amazing and impossible could be happening to me, right now. It was insane. Inside, I was screaming and jumping up and down with joy and contentment, but on the outside I was as serious as hell and looking up at Angel like he was some kind of god, baring both heaven and hell in separate hands, waiting eagerly and grimly for me to choose.
Unable to hide my joy and happiness, I lunged forward and collapsed into his arms, hugging him and bringing him to a sudden shock. "Thank you," I murmured. "I don't know how to–"
