At 10 am the pack settled into Ren's living room and listened as Ren and Jenna went over everything they talked about in the early hours. To say they were shocked and appalled would be putting it lightly. They each had questions and Jenna answered as best she could. They talked for almost 3 hours when Ren called a stop. Jenna was tired and they were all hungry. They ate lunch and Jenna went to take a nap. When she left the room they waited. Ren looked around and said
"I'm not going to ask any of you to get involved in this. We don't know all the players or dangers."
They each voiced their opinion on that. This was their pack too and Jenna was now one of them. This was their town to protect and that included shifters and humans alike. Ren took a deep breath and said "well alright then." He gave them their orders and told them to stay for dinner.
Bailey got home at 4 that afternoon and smiled at everyone as she walked in the door. Everyone but Calum. She frowned at Calum. Bailey went upstairs to put her bag in her room and saw Jenna sitting on the top step.
"You ok Jenna?"
Jenna looked up at Bailey and asked.
"Why? They don't know me and now they know what I am, why then would they help me?"
Bailey blinked down at her.
"Your Ren's mate Jenna and that makes you pack. Pack protects and sticks together. Every single person down there with the exception of Ren, Taylor and me came from somewhere else. They all met and served in the military or some other from of protective service. Some of them were all a little damaged and when they got out and Ren moved us back here he made us all a pack. They all have there demons Jenna. You are not bad. You were what you had to be for a while. Now you get to be someone else. You get to be who and what you want to be."
" Thank you" Jenna whispered.
Bailey nodded her head and went to her room. She closed her door and took a deep breath. She hurt for Jenna. Bailey had a family and pack here once when she was little. Her parents were always fighting and yelling. Their attitudes towards each other caused the few shifters that did live here to move on. No one wanted to be in a pack that couldn't be one. Her parents finally separated and when her brother left the army and moved back to town, she moved in with him. She thought her life was hard but Jenna made her thankful, even for her parents. Bailey changed into some comfortable clothes and headed back down stairs. She stopped in the living room glared at Calum one more time and looked at Ren. Ren rolled his eyes at them and huffed.
"Is everyone staying for dinner?"
"Ya. You wanna cook tonight Bailey or you want me to order in?"
Bailey headed towards the kitchen "naw I'll cook I wanna help out in some way."
Jenna came down and went into the living room. Everyone was sitting. She took a look at everyone and said "thank you."
They all smiled at her and she went to the kitchen to help.
