Girl Meets 'back together again'

6 ; Josh

Josh was still upset about Maya and her boyfriend Kyle. He was awful, and they only had a brief conversation... if that. Josh had always liked Maya's company, he loved it when he would go to Corey and Topanga's house she would always be there. Maya has had it rough from the start and she didn't need someone like Kyle in her life. Josh was always kept a wall up between himself and Maya while she was living in New York. She was three years younger and it wouldn't of been appropriate while she was in high school. But time flys and Maya is older now. He remembers when Maya left for California, and she turned to him and said
"There is nobody who could convinced me not to go, but you would have kept me up at night." The thought made Josh giggle as he got into a cab. He had been in China for the past month on a vacation with friends and he was back because well, it as time to come home. He worked for a building company, all he did was sketch the designs of the building and scan it to his office in New York. It payed well and if he could meet the deadlines and answer questions when they were asked he would be anywhere in the world.
The car finally stopped at his apparent building. It was around the corner from Corey's. He loved living near his brother, because his siblings were much older than him it was like being an only child when he lived at home. Plus Corey was best brother any person could ask for and it was nice to just 'pop' in on him whenever he wanted.
Once Josh got inside his apartment he felt like he needed to call Riley and talk to her about Maya and Kyle. If anyone could convince Maya that Kyle was a bad guy it was her. He grabbed the phone and dialed Riley's number. It didn't take long before she picked up.
"Hello Josh!" she said in an excited tone "When did you get back from China?"
"Well, just now actually. I wanted to talk to you about Maya" Josh said in a somewhat serious tone.
"Yeah, she just got to New York tonight." Riley said. You could tell she was stoked that Maya was in the same state as her.
"Yeah, I know. I just bumped into her at the airport actually." He paused "Her boyfriend Kyle. what do you think of him?"
"Well Maya seems to really like him, he seems quite sweet but Maya hasn't really talked much about him since they first got together." Riley stopped and thought. "Why?"
"When I was at the airport he seemed the complete opposite of sweet."
"Why? what happened?" Riley asked curiously
"When Maya came over to talk to me, I hugged her and he freaked out." Josh said. "He was jealous of nothing, but I explained to him that I was just an old friend of Maya's and then he just stormed out of the airport without Maya."
"What!" Riley gasped "Maybe he was just super tired from the plane ride.
This was typical of Riley to say. She always wanted people to be good and kind and when there was doubt she would try and make you believe again.
"I hope so" Josh said in a not so convincing voice.
