Girl Meets 'back together again'

7 ; Riley

There was a soft knock at the door and Riley knew exactly who it was. Riley was already by the door waiting for Maya to arrive. They hadn't seen each other face to face in such a long time and Riley's skin was crawling with anticipation. She opened the door as swiftly as she could and she felt slightly faint once she saw Maya's face.
"Peaches!" Riley called, almost sure the entire apartment building could here her.
"Riley!" Maya's tried face lit up and she embraced Riley was a massive hug. "I've missed you so much."
"I know, It's been so hard not seeing you all the time," Riley's eyes were watery and she couldn't bare to let go of Maya. They had missed so much time together, so many important life moments had been celebrated without each other and Riley couldn't bare to live like that anymore. "We must see each other more often, I mean it." She hugged Maya even tighter.

They spent the next hour and a half talking about the things they had done and the memories they did share. It felt as if nothing in their lives had changed.
  "Josh called earlier, he seemed pretty concerned about you." Riley teased. She knew Maya had a big crush on Josh all throughout high school but she doubted that Maya still felt that way about him.
  "He's a douche." Maya said sternly. Riley could tell she was upset about the interaction between Josh and herself but she didn't think she was really all that angry at Josh.
  "What! what happened?" Riley questioned.
  "He just acted like he knew everything about me and Kyle. He hasn't talk to me in years and then all the sudden at the airport he starts bad talking my boyfriend! They hardly even talked!" Maya seemed furious.
  "Wow. Josh made it sound like Kyle was all over the place and super jealous." Riley felt like there was much more to this story on both Maya and Joshes end.
  "Look Kyle has a bit of a temper and I know that. I live with that. I wouldn't be with Kyle if I didn't want to be." Riley didn't find that at all convincing, Maya seemed so different when she talked about Kyle.
  "I know, Maya. I just thought I'd bring it up because Josh seemed so upset about it." There was a sudden ding coming from Maya's phone and Maya quickly picked it up and read it.
  "speaking of, that's Kyle letting me know about the hotel he picked, I best get over there soon." Maya stood and gave Riley a long loving look and then reached for her hand. Riley took it and stood up.
  "Let me walk you out." She smiled and the two girls made their way outside.
