In the boys' fifth year, after Remus had come out as bisexual and Peter had cone out as gay, they were often bullied. James and Sirius were livid and vowed to help their brothers in mischief if they could.

The perfect opportunity came when a dance was called over easter break. With a ball on the horizon the girls were showing their best sides hoping to catch a date with the ladies man or the quidittch star, and when they called the Great Hall to order in the middle of dinner everyone hoped they would be asked.

So James and Sirius stood on the Gryffindor table and asked Peter and Remus, respectively, to go to the dance with them.

The young men had proven their bond and with the support of James and Sirius, Remus and Peter were never bullied again.
