Harry Potter Headcannons!

Finding out

A/N so lets pretend that the twins never gave Harry the map, so Remus never got to know it was still around

It was the last day of summer before Fred and George returned for their final year that the twins found out that: 1) they had been taught by a Marauder and 2) they had lived with two of the famous marauders for the entire summer!

They had been sitting at the kitchen table, studying the map when they heard two sets of footsteps coming into the room, "mischief managed", they quickly whispered but the map had yet to fully disappear before Remus and Sirius strolled into the room, their eyes instantly landed on the old parchment.

"What you got there, boys?" Asked Sirius.

"Nothing-"

"-Just some old parchment" said Fred then George

"Aha, just what i need! Do you mind? I need to write a letter - order business." Said Remus

"Uh sorry we are using this piece, we'll grab you another piece"

"Nah, i want this one", said Sirius with a tone that suggested no negotiation, his hand shooting out to take the parchment off the table. The boys jumped to their feet, wands pointing at the older men.

"Give that back!" They shouted in outrage.

The men shared a glance and knew that the map had been found, "would you like to do the honours, Padfoot?" Asked Remus, a knowing smirk on his scared face.

"Wait, Padfoot?" Asked the twins with a shocked look on their identical faces.

"Why, yes Moony, i would"

"Moony?"

"Oh my Merlin your Marau-" but before they could finish Sirius had whipped out his wand and proudly exclaimed,

"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good"

"Your Moony and Padfoot! You're marauders!" The boys almost shouted, surprised that their mild-mannered ex-professor and the convicted so-called murderer were two of their biggest idols.

They sank to their knees before the two men, lowering their bodies as a sign of worship, as the men stood before them shared a look of pure enjoyment mixed with a slight bit of shock. "Did the others not tell you the story?" Asked Remus.

"What story?"

"What happened at the end of Harry, Ron and Hermione's third year?"

"You mean they knew and didn't tell us?"

"They are going to pay!"
