Chapter 4: The Angel has A Devil Within

The wind brushes through the beautiful blonde girl's hair, as we walk together, hand in hand, across campus. She's sweet, bubbly, and just a little bit shy. Sarina is all I ever could have asked for.

I'm no longer bothered by the looks I get when we walked along campus. Yes, me, Pepper Carlin, the notorious bitch, is dating an adorable little freshman. Oh no, poor Sarina's innocence!

I laugh softly at the thought of what other people think, and my lovely girl looks towards me, and giggles softly. "What's so funny?" she asks.

"Just thinking about what people think of us," I replied, pulling her closer to me and wrapping my arm around her waist, immediately getting protective over her. She didn't need it right now, but I know she liked it.

A deep red blush emerged upon Sarina's cheeks, and she moved closer to me, almost curling up against me, as we made our way to my car.

On the way, we ran into Blake, and his girlfriend. "Hey Blake!" Sarina called, waving. I had introduced her to him a little after we started dating. he was fond of her, and treated her like a little sister of sorts.

"Sarina!" he called, running over and picking her up, twirling her in his arms. She laughed until she was placed back on her feet. I was quick to steal her away, holding her against me.

"My girlfriend..." I muttered to him, but more like in a joking manner.

"I'm not stealing her, Salt," he laughed, giving me a nickname. "Get it, Salt, because your name is Pep-"

I cut him off, "Funny Blake, I get it," I shushed him.

"Hey Blake?" Sarina asked, looking up towards him.

"What is it?" he looked down towards her, ruffling her blonde locks, I growled.

"Why don't you ever pick Pepper up and twirl her around?" she asked. Oh dear lord no...

"Well, because she'll hit me after," Blake laughed, and gunned for me. I moved to get out of his way, but he quickly had me in his arms, twirling me around and laughing.

I simply frowned, waiting for him to set me down. The moment my feet were on the ground I landed a kick to his shin. Light, so it wouldn't injure him, but enough to hurt.

"Ahh, oww!" he grunted, hopping on one foot, holding his shin. "See, told ya," he grinned through a wince, looking over at Sarina.

"Wow, you were right," she nodded, then turned to me. "Pepper!" she huffed, "Say you're sorry!"

Adorable! "Alright, sorry Blake," I told him. He smiled, and Sarina forced us to hug. Blake and I don't hug often, it's not a thing that happens between us. We stood there, holding each other awkwardly until we stepped away from each other.

"This is the greatest act of friendship I have seen," Adriana clapped and Sarina joined in, Blake and I rolled our eyes at the two of them.

"So where are you two lovebirds headed?" Blake asked, as Sarina and I reunited again, hand in hand.

"My house, we're going to paint, and then make-out for awhile," I admitted.

"Probably more like make-out, and then paint for a while," Blake laughed. We only laughed along.

"True," Sarina giggled.

"Well, we will leave you to that. Adriana and I are going bowling. You sure you don't want to join us?" Blake asked.

I turned to my girl in my arm, and she shook her head. Gosh she really intended to flirt with me all night. "Nah, you two have fun though," I told him.
