This is a sad one.

I was hopeless and pathetic. It was just sad, to be honest, being in love with a married man. It wasn't something I could help. I tried and tried to stop. But I had no power over what Glenn did to me.
Everytime he smiled I melted. When he spoke I couldn't ignore it. When I saw him with Maggie I felt myself die inside. Yet I couldn't bring myself to hate her or even dislike her. She made him smile and that made it so there was nothing I could do. I knew if he lost her he would be lost.
What was even more pathetic was that everyone knew about my feelings. They were to obivious to hide. Glenn pretended like he didn't know, treated me like he had always had. Maggie did too, even if she was a little cautious around me at times.
Of course, I had thought about leaving the group. But I couldn't do it. The idea scared me and just didn't work. Somehow, I had convinced myself it was better to stay.
I shook myself out of my thoughts, I was on a run. In the nearby town was a store we hadn't raided yet. It was just Maggie and me since the town seemed to be relatively safe.
"There it is. Up ahead," She said. I spotted the store.
"Let's do this," I said. We made it there and went in. We quickly scanned it for walkers, grabbing the few things left as we did. We were about done when got near a door about to break down. Maggie started to investigate it when it came down. The door pinned her leg and on the door were walkers. I quickly started killing them and moving them off the door. As I did that, she worked on freeing herself.
However, the loud noise had attracted more. A few started to cept up, going for a distracted Maggie. One got very close. I got in the way just barely and started to fight it off. More came at me and there was nothing I could do to stop them all in time. I felt agony as one bit into my back. I screamed with the pain. The biting stopped as Maggie killed the guilty walker. We killed the others.
"Y/n, I'm so sorry," Maggie said, tearing up.
"You should go. More are coming. I'll take care of them," I said. I handed her my bag. She started to speak but I stopped her. "You have to get back. The others...Glenn needs you. Go, keep him safe," I said.
"I will. I promise," She said then ran back. I kept walkers off her trail for as long as I could. But as I got too weak I sat against a building.
"I love you Glenn," I whispered, closing my eyes. In my mind I could see him smiling. I could almost imagine him loving me back.
