Smith POV

"Did you really think she would actually come?" Nathan asked looking somewhere lost in his thoughts.

"Of course I thought she would come. Otherwise why would I call her in the first place? I just don't know why she bailed on me the way she did." I don't know what was so urgent to her that she bailed on me at the very last minute and asked Lisa to call Nathan and be there for me in her place.

She ruined my plan totally. Damn it!

"Smith! Wait." I saw Hannah running and making her way towards me through the crowd.

I looked at Nathan and gestured him to go on and attend the next lecture without me.

I looked down till the time she took to reach me and thought about all the arrangements I did for the night.

All those hidden cameras, a rented hotel room, a dented motorbike with broken back lights, fake injuries and what not.

All my efforts went in vain! Because she couldn't bring her stupid ass to help me when I fake needed it. Just my fucked up luck.

"Hey.." I greeted her indolently and felt agitated, waiting to listen what accuse she has to give to justify herself in order to ruin my unexposed plan.

"Hey. I know you may be upset that I didn't show up when you needed me...it's just that something came up which needed my attention...more."

"But I did call Lisa immediately when I thought I won't be able to make up on time and told her to ask Nathan to come to your aid instead."

"I just hope you will forgive me for my indecency this time. Trust me I will make up for it." She kept on babbling and asking for my forgiveness sincerely. But I was truly beyond angry.

She doesn't know about the humiliation I had to go through when she didn't show up when I called her. And then it was like a grand feast for Drake, which he totally had on my expense. Motherfucker.

"And if may I ask, what is this 'something' which needed your attention more than coming to help me, when I clearly needed your damn attention more than anything?" I couldn't help the anger in my voice and cursed under my breath the next minute when I realized it won't help my condition.

Because if I really wanted to win this bet, I can't risk to mistreat Hannah.

I loosened my rigid stance and watched her fidget, obviously being scared of my state of being mad at her for her nonappearance the previous night.

I studied her closely and noticed how rather tired and timid she was looking right now, which made me slightly suspicious about what actually kept her busy the previous night.

But I didn't press upon the matter more. If she wants to tell, she will. I can't risk forcing her to tell me after already having shouted at her ones.

But that doesn't mean it went unnoticed by me that even after me apologizing her for my misbehavior and then talking to her some more, she wasn't willing to share the knowledge about what kept her occupied the previous night.

But no matter how much curious I was to know, I let it go.

Because her question next, made me hiss as a result of my own lies.

"How are your injuries? You said you got into an accident. But I don't see any cuts or any bruises?" She inquired and roamed her curious eyes all over me to find any marks which will be the real proof of my fake accident. Which clearly didn't occur.

"Oh..that..is on my knees." I bent and touched my right knee and then left and acted as if it pained me to walk without an assistance, which gave me a reason to find my comfort in her more than willing body which she offered me as a support to walk alongside.

"You don't need to worry. Everything is fine now. It's all covered up." I passed her an encouraging smile and bent a bit more over her side and enjoyed the feel of her smooth silky flesh under my hands. Finally a progress.

"Smith. I wanted to ask you something."

"Yes?"

"In any case, do you seem to know about Nathan and Lisa's relationship?"

"What? They are in a relationship?"

I didn't know that.

Nathan has clearly kept that part hidden from me well.

I thought he was just distracting Hayden.

Or maybe he is. Lisa might be taking all this shit quite seriously. Always the easy one.

"Yes, they are. Lisa confirmed me about it two days ago."

Oh..so is that so. I need to confirm this shit from Nathan too now.

"No, Hannah. I also didn't know that they were in a relationship, if it somehow makes you feel better. He didn't inform me, as I guess your friend didn't inform you too."

She looked sad with the news and I don't get why girls take it to their heart when they don't get informed about some stuff their friends are involved in.

They are always the deep thinker. And we the deep doer. Classic.

"Don't worry about it too much. I'll talk to Nathan about it. And your friend must have a good reason to hide it from you too." I tried to cheer her up when I saw she isn't moving on from her dejected posture.

And thanked the lord when she let the matter go for the moment being.

I took a breath of relief and prepared myself for my next question.

"I wanted to ask you something too."

"Yes?" She looked up at me, giving me all her attention.

"Well me and my friends are going for camping this weekend. And I will love it...if you can possibly come and join us too." I looked at her, pleading with my eyes.

It could be a good chance to have Hannah all to myself and do what I need to do to win this bet. Only if she accepts my proposal to come.

"Oh...camping." She wasn't looking at me anymore, rather looking at the floor while we still were moving. So I couldn't make out her facial expressions.

"I don't know. I need to ask my parents first. And what if they don't permit me to go?"

"I won't take no for an answer this time. You just promised you will make up for not being there for me yesterday. And the only way I will accept your apology will be if you come and join us in our camping this weekend."

I wanted so badly for her to come.

I can't prolong this deed as long as it has already taken.

"Okay, alright! I will come then." She replied softly and then smiled a beautiful smile in my direction. Yes! Finally.

"That's my girl." I kissed her cheek lightly and instantly my mood was back to being nice.

"Wait for me outside here." She turned immediately, facing away from me.

"Let me fetch my books from my locker." I just did a slight nod, not understanding her sudden detachment and took out my phone, busying myself checking out the messages on my social sites.
