"I wish every morning is like this." I and Smith are like a thing now. I don't know what that thing is. But something is. As what students like to say in the campus.
He likes to pick me up from my home and drop me by too. Comes around to play with Jack and takes us to park too. He has become like our family member. He is just being too sweet for someone like him, who is famous for being anything but good. My parents approve of him and Lisa is also fine of me being with him.
"Don't say that. I don't want Lisa to get fever daily." Yes that's the reason he is coming to pick me up and drop me by. As Lisa is suffering from a flu.
I even went to meet her at her home to check on her, but her mother told me she was sleeping after taking the pills, so I thought not to disturb.
I took out my phone and typed a 'get well soon' text with kissing emojis and was sending it to her when I collided with someone, making my phone fall down in the process. No crap!
"My phone!" I bent down to pick up my phone which with goodness grace was fine and had just it's cover coming out of it a bit.
I was in the mid way of getting up when I heard the sound of someone hitting the other. And from the sound it may be most probably a punch. A punch for my phone? You gotta be kidding me.
And so right to be guessed. And so wrong to be true. I stood up properly only to get sit back down to avoid getting hit by the swinging arms coming towards my direction.
"You asshole! See what you did. You broke down my girlfriend's phone." Smith accused the stranger whom I collided with and whose name is well famous now around our campus and not a stranger anymore.
David Weill!
Colliding was not much of a surprise to me. Because that kind of become a ritual for us from the day I have met him.
What surprised me was Smith's claim, that I am his girlfriend. Come on..no body told me that?
I ignored the mysterious guy completely and got in between of those two to stop the fight and make Smith listen to me.
"I am your girlfriend? From when?" He was again ready to hit but stopped when he saw me standing in between.
"Don't be ridiculous Hannah. Of course you are my girlfriend. The entire campus knows this. Now get aside. I will show this mutt what his place is." He tried to drag me aside, but I stood my ground.
"Hey! As much as I remember you never asked me to be your girlfriend." Smith huffed looking frustrated and took deep breaths before replying.
"Hannah William will you be my girl..." And before he could complete with his proposal, I was thrown aside to be followed by another round of punches. But this time it was from David's side. What the hell is going on here?
"It's not my problem that your girlfriend is a clumsy ass, Davidson. She must be blind for not looking up where she walks." He then looked at me and spoke the next words.
"Has a damn habit of falling on people." The hatred in his eyes shocked me and I had nothing to say to him then just look at him and repeat his words in my mind.
Clumsy ass..blind..falling on people..
I couldn't help to stop the moisture which so forcibly wanted to come out.
"You..you piece of a shit. How dare you to speak like that about my girlfriend." Smith tackled him on the ground and was supported by his friends who came running to help him.
And this lead to a good amount of audience who surrounded us and watched how David was getting beaten up.
"Stop! I said stop it you boys." Came the booming voice of our principal and all the boys stilled in their places.
