Remembering You (Touken)

Chapter 2

After dealing with Saiko's mess of a room, Haise sent everyone a text message with their CCG issued cell phones, saying to meet him back at the house in five.

They all arrived quickly. After everyone was there he informed them about the mission. Shirazu seemed pumped for it, since he would get to use his new quinque. Mutsuki looked a little bummed, he seemed to really enjoy working with Suzuya, Haise's close friend since he joined the CCG and fellow rank 1 investigator. Urie merely gave an expression of annoyance, yet on the inside he was overly motivated to win this battle himself because of his Kanye-sized ego.

They all went to their rooms to get ready while Haise went back to his room, already packed, and picked up a file about an 'eyepatch ghoul' that caught his eye a bit ago. It all seemed vaguely familiar, yet he could never seem to break any barriers in his personal investigation.

This ghoul was most certainly an enemy of investigators Akira and Arima, yet he's always seen them as a mother and father figure. They couldn't be the same person, right?

He shifted in his seat and began searching his memory for any sign that they could've been a threat. He got a small hint of one from Arima but none from Akira.

Just then, Shirazu knocked on the door. "Yo mamman, we're ready."

"I'll be right out." He couldn't help but be curious as to what Arima could've done to him, but he could resume his memory inquiry later. He walked out of his room and back downstairs.

Shirazu seemed to be doing a good job as the new squad leader. Everyone stood there with their bags ready. He was surprised by how responsible they're being, well, some of them. Mutsuki and Urie are constantly at the top of their game.

They walked out of the house and headed over to headquarters so they could let everyone else know they were leaving. They said their quick goodbyes(it's not like they're going to die on this mission) and made their way to their squad car.

They started it up and were on their way.
