Remembering You (Touken)

Chapter 6

-With Saiko and Mutsuki-

After everyone split up, Saiko and Mutsuki decided to continue down the strip of shopping malls nearby. They passed a few supermarkets and grocery stores, but what really caught chubby otaku's eye was the video game store.

"Ooh Tooru, can we go look at games?" She asked longingly.

"No, we have to look for leads on the binge eater. The sooner we exterminate them, the sooner we can relax. Once we find them, you can look at games all you like." Mutsuki said plainly.

"But Tooruuuuuuuuu. The Cloud DLC just came out for smash and I still don't have it!" Saiko whined.

"No. Looking for leads is out first priority. Maybe there's something down that alleyway next to the shop." There was a dark alleyway next to the GameStop Saiko wanted to visit so desperately. Mutsuki started walking towards it and smelled something strange. "Hey Saiko you smell that?"

"Oh yeah." She started making faces to show how bad the smell was. "Oh god, what is that?"

"Well let's go take a look." Mutsuki peeked over the side of the wall and the smell got stronger. He continued walking while covering his nose. Saiko followed. They soon came upon a dead body that looked to be the remains of a ghoul's meal.

"Oh my god I'm gonna throw up." Saiko gagged.

"Saiko, you've seen stuff like this before, haven't you? I mean, this isn't your first time investigating with us." Mutsuki seemed slightly annoyed.

"I know, I know! It just gets me every time! I can't help it." A twig cracked behind them. They turned around quickly and caught a glimpse of long, light pink hair.

"That must be the binge eater! Let's go!" Mutsuki said. They started running in the direction of the pink hair.

She was fast. Really fast. Even without her kagune out, which has been reported to be a Rinkaku type. She was zipping around every corner they came up on, hardly giving Mutsuki and Saiko any time to catch up.

Saiko spotted Shirazu and Urie down one of the corners and called out to them. "Shirazu! Urie! Run up ahead, we've got her!"

They made confused looked but obeyed her order. They weren't slowpokes either, they made quick time to get to the next corner before the other three got there.

They all rounded on the next corner and surrounded each pathway to exit. "We've got her cornered, guys." Mutsuki signed, clearly out of breath from running so fast for so long.
