HI! I've decided to start another story! ^.^ This is actually a topic that's growing in popularity, and I've noticed that every 'emo' story is a love story. So this is gonna be different! Please excuse any typos or mistakes, I got this idea at 2:45 in in the morning . . .

***

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring Low by Sleeping with Sirens. I didn't turn it off right away because I wanted to hear its perfection.

After it was over, I hopped into the shower. I used my favorite chocolate ice cream body wash, and peach shampoo.

After blowdrying my hair, I started putting on my face. I went along the checklist:

-Foundation and concealer

-Winged eyeliner

-Mascara

-A nudey/light pink lipstick

-Pressed powder

After all of that was done I found my favorite Pierce The Veil band tee and ripped gray skinny jeans. Finally, I grabbed all of my assorted bracelets, and my purple Vans.

Amazingly, I was done everything in 15 minutes. I walked downstairs, and greeted my mom.

"Morning Mom!" I said cheerfully. "Good morning, Shayley." Said my mom. "Would you like some pancakes?"

"Why would you even ask that!?" I asked. I ran to the table and grabbed three pancakes. "Only three?" My mom asked curiously, pulling up the chair next to me. "I only have five minutes," I said sadly. "Okay hun." Why was my mother being so vague!? Gersh!

"Shayley?"

"Yes mom?" I asked curiously. "Happy birthday." It's not my birthday! Wait . . . it can't be. Can it? I picked up my phone, and looked at the date. April 15.

"It's my birthday!" My mom smiled, and handed me an envelope. I picked it up, and looked inside.

SHE DIDN'T! BUT SHE DID! "I love you Mom!" I screamed. Wondering what was inside? Warped tickets.

When my best friend, Carleigh picked me up, I told her about the tickets.

"She got me four!" I screamed. "Quit bragging!" She yelled at me. You see, Carleigh can be quite dense at times, so she didn't get it at first. I stayed quiet. About a second later, she got it. "Oh my God! That means I can go!" She hesitated. "Wait, that does mean I can go right?" I rolled my eyes. "Who else would I take?"

She banged her head on the steering wheel. "I'm stupid! Leave me alone, okay!?" I smirked at her density. "Well my mom doesn't like the music I listen to!"

"I'm sorry, okay?" I just laughed the whole way to school.

As me and Carleigh walked down the hall, it was the same as everyday. Whispers like 'emo', 'creeps, 'attention whores', and my personal favorite; 'lesbians'.

Come on. I have a lip ring, wear eyeliner, skinny jeans, and band tees. That doesn't make me 'emo'.

I just snorted and walked trough the crowd.

Carleigh and I had to seperate for homeroom, so we said our goodbyes, and walked to class. I daydreamt of Warped Tour while roll was being called, and fantasized during announcements.

I was still in in a dream-like haze when walking to my next class, which is probably why I didn't see the person in front of me. I bumped into him, and landed on the floor. "Oomph." I said as I landed. My books were everywhere.

Before I knew it, I was being pulled up by the mystery person. I finally got a good angle of his face, and let me tell you, it wasn't ugly. He had black hair with a blue streak through it, with an eyebrow and lip piercing. His eyes were a brilliant teal, and at the moment examining me.

"Uh, hi." I said. He looked startled that I spoke, but said a simple "Hello."

"I'm Shayley, who are you?"

"My name is Evan. I don't know who I am yet." Well, okay.

"Right, well I have class now . . ." I said awkwardly. He smirked. "Can I have your number?"

I smiled dryly. "No." I said simply, and walked away. I like his face, not his attitude.

***

At lunch, I explained what had happened earlier with Evan to Carleigh. I obscurely pointed him out to her. Her jaw dropped. She then proceded to punch me. In the gut. Ow. "What was that for!?" I yelled. "He's hot! What's wrong with you!?" She screamed in my face.

"I dunno. He was acting all fake and stuff. I hate it when guys are like that." She smirked. "Buy earplugs, and stare at him all day." I smacked her in the arm. It was kind of a good idea . . . No! Bad Shayley! No dating jerks!

The bell rang, and I swear, I've never ran so fast in my life.

So that was Chapter One! What do you think of Evan!?
