The day after Mark had received the bunch of messages from Seán, he found himself getting another message from Wade, asking if he'd like to go back to the mall with him to get the right-sized shirts (for some reason, Wade hadn't tried the original ones on, so when he'd gotten home, he'd learned that most of them were too small for him. Classic Wade.). He'd agreed, figuring he needed something else to get his mind away from things (he definitely wasn't doing the whole wolf thing again, as last time had scarred him greatly). He'd gotten dressed in a royal blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and his blue Nikes, and after getting completely ready, he'd left his house with his things in hand.

Getting into his car, Mark looked to his phone once again. He sighed, pouting when he saw that he had no messages from Seán. He didn't actually think the other was being serious when he'd said that he was turning his phone off, but he couldn't blame him--he'd probably do the same thing.

Ignoring the twisting of his gut, Mark opened his phone and texted Wade, telling him that he was on his way. He put his phone down, starting his car and taking off for his friend's house. The ride didn't take long at all, but he'd slowed down a bit when he'd passed by Seán's house--he just so happened to live on the same street as Wade--staring at it in worry. After a minute, he just shook his head and continued driving down the street.

He pulled up to Wade's house less than a minute later, stopping on the side of the street. He honked the horn, and a few seconds later, his friend came running out from his house. Mark laughed, watching as Wade fumbled with his lock, then ran down his driveway to the man's car.

"Hey, Mark," he mumbled, preoccupied with climbing into Mark's car and pulling his seatbelt over his chest.

"Hi, Wade," Mark answered back, also preoccupied with his own thoughts.

"What's up? How's your day been so far?" He looked over to Mark as the man took off for the mall, smiling. "I haven't seen you in a week."

"It's only been five days." Mark snorted, smiling lightly.

Wade scoffed. "Well that's close enough to a week! It counts."

"Whatever, Wade," he responded condescendingly, rolling his eyes. "Whatever floats your boat."

"Nah, but seriously." He nudged Mark's arm. "How have things been?"

"They've been," he paused, tilting his head back and forth to show that he was unsure. He spoke up again, "They've been sort of weird."

"Oh really?" Wade perked up, eyebrows raising in curiosity. "How so?"

"Well first off," Mark started, a light grin forming on his lips, "I made a new friend the other day."

"'The other day' as in...?"

"The day we went to the mall." He shook his head. "But that's not important. He's the sweetest thing ever, and he's really cool. But... he's been acting sort of... I don't know--weird?--lately. I know why, but I'd rather not put his business out there. It's just..." he sighed, "confusing me lately."

The other frowned, turning more towards his friend. "Mark... This friend of yours..."

When Wade stopped talking, Mark waved a hand for him to continue. "Yes? This friend of mine what?"

Wade huffed. "What gender is he?"

"What?" The man's eyes widened and he glanced to the other for a bit before looking back to the road. "Why is that important?"

"It just is. Now, please answer my question."

Mark huffed, rolling his eyes. He knew not to question further, as Wade would not answer him and just persist until his own question was answered. "He's an Omega. I don't see why--"
