"Blueberry Muffin!"
"Yeah?"
That was Mark's new nickname--Blueberry Muffin. Well, it was one of his many new nicknames, which included Blueberry Muffin, Blueberry Yogurt, and simply Blueberry. He didn't mind them, of course--he had been startled the first time he'd heard the first one, but then just decided not to question Seán about it because he knew that's who he was--but they were a bit odd, he had to admit. However, in return, he had started calling his boyfriend "Mint" and variations of that name, as, instead of the neon green he'd gotten the first time, his hair had been dyed a nice minty green. It was quite refreshing, if Mark could say so himself.
"Come see; I wanna show you something."
Mark sighed. He wiped his hands on a clean cloth and made his way into his living room, where Seán was sat on his couch, staring at his laptop while biting his lip intensely and furrowing his brows together.
Mark sat next to him and placed a kiss into his hair, setting his arm on the back of the couch after. "What's up?" He glanced at the laptop screen, where a browser was open and a gaming site sat. "What is this?"
Seán turned to Mark, suddenly grinning. The man had seen something flash on his boyfriend's screen right before he turned, but he wasn't quite sure what it was as he had looked away too soon. "I got accepted for Beta testing for Blizzard's new game."
Mark's eyes widened. He'd known Blizzard for a while now, as he was a huge World of Warcraft fan; however, he didn't know they had been planning a new game. He grinned widely, threading his hand through mint hair. "That's awesome!" he cheered, pecking his boyfriend's lips. "What is it?"
"It's a new FPS, which is kinda odd for Blizzard, obviously." Seán chuckled, staring back at his laptop screen with pink cheeks. "But I hear it's supposed to be really good. It's getting a lot of hype online."
"Oh yeah?" His grin widened (if that was even remotely possible) and he hugged Seán to his chest, glancing at the screen also. "That's really cool then. I'm happy for you, love."
The younger glanced upwards at Mark, smiling softly. His eyes closed slightly in that adorable way only he could do and he hummed. "Thank you. I'm pretty happy, too."
The man glanced down. Man, he's too cute, he thought as butterflies did flips in his stomach and his heart started running a marathon. He was glad he got to spend as much time with Seán as he did--in fact, they'd been going over to each other's houses so often that they might as well have lived together. No one would doubt it if they said they did, anyway. They hadn't even been together for three months, and yet they already seemed attached at the hip--as attached as identical Siamese twins. Mark didn't mind that, of course.
Mark grinned, unwrapping himself from around Seán and standing up. "'Kay, lemme go finish your cake and then I'll be right back, okay, love?"
His boyfriend nodded gently and looked back to his computer, mumbling an, "Okay," with still-red cheeks. Mark left and went back to the kitchen to finish preparing a cake for his boyfriend, as today was his 26th birthday.
He had already baked the cake (it was chocolate, of course, because chocolate's the best) and only had to ice it (with chocolate, because, again, chocolate's the best) and decorate it (if you can't tell by now, Seán loves chocolate). He iced the cake in about five minutes and then took another two to decorate it with words and a little design, smiling at himself when he was done. After lighting the candle on top, he carried it to the living room where Seán was now watching television, his laptop set next to him.
The younger looked up as Mark walked in, eyes lighting up and lips stretching into a grin. He screeched, "So much chocolate!" and clapped his hands together like a little kid, causing Mark to snort and roll his eyes (Mark had to resist the urge to start screaming, "Chocolate!" over and over like that one fish in SpongeBob).
