It turns out that when Bob had said "games", he really meant competitive things, like Beer Pong, Pin the Mask on the Witch, and BOBbing for Apples (ask Bob how proud he is of the name--he'll tell you).
The first one had included a competition in between Mark and Seán, and the two men would stare each other down as they bounced their ping pong ball off of the table. They'd both obviously only played the game for the reason of getting the other more drunk, and, sad to say, Seán had succeeded in that one. He'd only had to drink from three cups, while his opponent--the ever-so-lucky Mark--had to finish off seven. The man's cheeks had flushed more and he'd begun leaning a bit more to the right, but he'd never admit defeat.
The second game was actually a lot more fun than expected. Both men figured that it was like a "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" type of thing, but were both left confused when they failed to find a blindfold of any sort. The first person to go up--Danny, a good friend of Mark's (Seán had freaked when he saw that Mark was friends with the Danny Sexbang)--had been given a mask with tape on the back and was placed behind a line, told to wait until the timer went off. When the buzzer had gone off, both men startled as a drone bearing a witch's hat took off from a couple of yards ahead of Danny, racing around a few feet from the ground. They both then understood how the game worked, and silently praised Bob for thinking of such a game. They didn't go up, however, content to watch everyone--especially Wade--stumble around as they chased the drone with a mask in-hand.
The third game--well, we're about to see how that went. The two men were currently standing off to the side as two more of their friends--Arin and Suzy (once again, Seán had freaked)--repeatedly dunked their heads in buckets full of water in attempts to grab the apples with their mouths. Both Suzy and Arin had to tie their hair back--to Arin's dismay and to Suzy's amusement--in order to play. Mark and Seán had both agreed that they'd go next, as the prize for winning was a whopping fifty dollars--where did Bob get all this money?--which they both wanted pretty badly.
The timer ringed and the couple's heads shot up, turning to grin widely at each other. Bob moved forward to count each of their apples, and when Suzy was declared the winner and handed a wad of cash, she threw her arms up in triumph and stuck her tongue out at her husband. "Ha! Told you I would win!" Arin pouted, nodded, and mumbled an agreement as they walked off.
"Who's next?" Bob called out, looking around the crowd.
The two men stepped forward into the places the couple had been after giving their headbands to Molly, Mark nodding at his friend. "We'll go next."
"Alright then!" He backed up to the table, grabbing another box of apples, and quickly split the fruits into the buckets so they wouldn't empty while playing. He then dropped the box, clapping his hands together. "You know how it works. You get a minute to grab as many apples as you can with your mouth, whoever gets the most wins, blah blah blah." He chuckled, stepping back and grabbing his phone. "You two ready?"
Both men kneeled in front of their respective buckets, water soaking through their knees, and Mark looked to Seán. "You sure you wanna do this?" He stuck his bottom lip out in a pout, teasing, "Don't wanna get your make up messed up, right?"
"Oh, shut up," he grumbled, and then immediately smiled again afterwards. "It's Sharpie anyway; it's stayin' on." He glanced up to Bob, placing his hands behind his back--which, admittedly, Mark faltered a bit at his position. "Let's do this."
"Okay! On your marks... get set..."
"I can't wait to win even more money tonight," the man heard mumbled from his side as he stared down at the water, but chose to ignore it. It was what the other wanted--to distract him.
