What We Would Do

Chapter 6

I woke up next to Asher with his arms still wrapped around me. I shifted a little to give my leg some relief, as I  turned I heard a voice.

"Hey," it was Asher.

"Hey," I replied, turning to him smiling. He is so beautiful.

"What do you want to do today," he said as he twirled a piece of my hair in his fingers.

"Are you free?" I asked slightly giggling.

He smirked, "Anytime for you."

I could feel my heart pounding in my ears. I sat up and he shifted with me.

"Ow," I squealed as I felt the blood rush to my leg.

He looked at me frantically.

"Did I hurt you?" He said in a very concerned voice.

"No, it's my leg," I said reassuringly.

He slid off the bed and I did the same.

"Um, so where am I?" I said realizing I had no idea what room I had been in.

"The guest room," he said "to my house."

"Well you better get ready," he said.

"What for?" I asked.

"An adventure," he said and jumped up and threw a towel at me "the bathroom is on the left."

I smirked and got up. The pain was so immense, but I didn't care anymore. I got up and started to get ready but I had no clothes to change into. I ran into the hall and.....

"Here, I knew you didn't have clothes so here is one of my shirts and I bought you some jeans from the store. I hope they fit you," he said.

I giggled a little.

"I didn't know you had a hidden talent for fashion," I said.

He laughed and left. I took the clothes back into the bathroom and turned on the shower. I  hadn't had a shower for what felt like weeks. The water was so warm and I could feel my leg relax. Once I was finished I put on the clothes. To my surprise the jeans fit perfect and the shirt was a little baggy. I then put my hair up in a high ponytail and slipped on my converse. I walked into the hall and was met by Asher.

"Hey, I did pretty good. They fit you," he said.

"Yeah, I am pretty surprised myself," I said.

"So are you ready?" He said.

"Yeah," I said.

"May I?" He asked gesturing towards my hand. I smiled and nodded my head "yes". He took my hand and I shifted my weight off my left side and into his arm. I felt his biceps tense and then relax.

"What do you want see the most?" He asked.

"Surprise me," I said smiling.

He smiled back and said "how about a house tour?"

He then took me around his pod and showed me the living room/kitchen and then the two bedrooms and then the bathroom.

"You can stay here with me, if you want," he said.

I thought about this for a second. Where else would I go?

"Sure," I said.

"Well we better get you some clothes. You up for some shopping," he said sarcastically.

I smiled "You are forgetting something. I don't have any money," I said.

"I got it," he said.

I smiled and looked at him. Then leaned into kiss me and I let him. I forgot about the pain in my leg and I just let myself fall into him. He finally released me and we sat there in a locked embrace.

He let go of me to grab some cash or gold coins. Then we left. He took me first to an odd boutique run by a lady in the same robes I had seen earlier. She was nice, but a little eccentric. There I bought some socks and underwear. Next we went to a store that was a little more modern than the last. This is where I suspected Asher bought the jeans because I got another pair, three t-shirts, and a hoodie. As we were leaving Asher was pulled aside by an older lady in robes.

"Go get something to eat," he said handing me some coins and gesturing towards a stand of food.

I took the money and walked over to the stand. It was full of weird foods I had never seen before. I choose an item that looked most like a bagel and walked over to the fountain and sat down.

After he was done talking to the lady he came and sat next to me.

"What did you get?" He asked.

"I have no Idea," I said.

He laughed a little.

"Can I have a bite?" he asked gesturing towards the bagel.

"Go for it," I said as he took a small bite from the side.

He then took my hand and pulled me up from the fountain.

"Are you tired?" He asked.

"A little," I said not wanting to admit my exhaustion.

"Let's go home," he said

I shivered a little at the word "home". I had never had a home to go to.

We started to walk back to Asher's house when we heard screaming and an explosion.
