The Last Direction (Third Book to 'The Daughters')

Backstage

*Jamie's POV*

*After the concert*

"Thank you all so much. You've been a wonderful crowd. See you soon!" I yelled to the crowd before running off stage.

The concert is currently over and I kind of wish it wasn't. I am scared of what Annemarie, Jessica, and Emily are going to say when we get off stage. Let's just hope it goes well.

"Are you two insane?" Jessica asks us almost yelling after we entered the dressing room.

"What are you talking about?" Alex asked in confusion.

"Why didn't you tell us that not only was our fathers here tonight, but oUR MOTHERS!" Annemarie asks screaming the last part.

"They wanted it to be a surprise." I tell them.

"The only reason why we knew about the surprise was because your mothers were here. I think that if only our fathers were here, then they would have surprised all five of us." Alex added.

Emily opened her mouth to speak, but Louis came into the room behind her.

"How's everyone doing tonight?" He asks causally as he sprawls himself on the couch next to me.

"Wonderful." Emily says sarcastically.

"Woah, what's with the sarcasm. Aren't you happy to see us?" Liam says coming up from behind them.

"Of course I am. I just wish we knew about it before hand." Emily admits.

"Then it wouldn't have been a surprise now would it." Liam tells her.

"You guys make surprising you no fun." Louis says.

"Whatever." Annemarie mumbles.

"So, how'd you guys like your surprise anyway? And I mean other than the fact that you wish you would have known about it ahead of time." Harry asks.

"Other than that I thought it was pretty cool." Jessica replied.

"Are you guys still mad at us for not telling you?" Alex asked, referring to the both of us.

"I guess not." Annemarie said sadly, causing Jamie and I to chuckle.

"Where did you find mom, Sophia, and Eleanor anyway?" Jessica asked.

"Um, well, we were on some deserted island for a while. It wasn't until a helicopter spotted our fire  a few weeks later that we were rescued." Perrie replied.

"You were on a deserted island?" Emily asked in confusion.

"Yeah, I don't know if your fathers told you, but we were on our way to surprise you on tour when our plane went down." Sophia explained.

"Oh yeah, I do remember them telling us that." Annemarie said in sudden realization.

"Were there anymore survivors from the crash?" I asked out of curiosity.

"There was a few, not many though." Eleanor replied.

I just nodded in response. To be completely honest, Annemarie, Jessica, and Emily took that better than I thought they would. I'm just glad they're not mad at us.

"So, how long have you guys been home?" Alex asked Perrie, Eleanor, and Sophia.

"We got home a couple of days before you girls went on tour." Sophia replied.

"A COUPLE OF DAYS BEFORE WE WENT ON TOUR!" Annemarie said, suddenly screaming.

"Annemarie Tomlinson, you lower your voice right now." Louis said to his daughter in a firm tone.

"Sorry." Annemarie mumbled.

"Why didn't you guys say anything if you got home a couple of days before we went on tour?" Emily asked the mothers.

"Well, by then we already knew that we wanted to surprise you somehow, so we just kept it a secret." Sophia replied.

"Did you two know about this?" Jessica asked Alex and I.

"We had no idea that your mothers were rescued until a few ours before the concert even started." I replied truthfully.

"Well, thanks for telling me dad." Jessica said sarcastically.

"No problem." Zayn replied with sarcasm, causing us to chuckle.

"Well, I think we should get back to the hotel. It's pretty late and you girls have a flight to catch in the morning." Niall says.

We all nodded and exited the dressing room and made our way out of the venue. This little reunion went better than I thought it was going to go, which makes me very happy. I am also very happy that the girls have their mothers back. Now lets just hope our fathers answer their phones right before we go on stage, because I have been very nervous going on stage without my little ritual.
