*Jessica's POV*
*The Next Day*
So today, I was kind of hoping that Jamie would go back to normal. But unfortunately today was a little worse. Yesterday she was speaking here and there, but now she's not speaking at all. I mean, she's been fine when they asked her to sing her parts, but other than that, she's just been laying around. Even Simon took notice to Jamie's weird behavior.
"Jamie can you work on some of your parts, I want to talk to Jessica, Annemarie, Alex, and Emily in my office for a minute." Simon said after he popped in to check on us.
Jamie just nodded as the rest of us followed Simon to his office. To be quite honest, I am kind of nervous. Simon never asks to talk to us in his office.
"Come in and close the door please.' Simon said as we approached his office.
We did as we were told and waited patiently for him to start speaking.
"So girls, I noticed that Jamie isn't herself today." He said as he sat in the chair behind his desk.
"Yeah," I said dragging out the word a little bit.
"Do you girls have any idea what's wrong with her? I mean she was fine a couple of days ago." Simon asked worriedly.
"I think you should swing by Harry's." Annemarie told him.
"Why?" He asked in confusion.
"You'll probably get the whole story if you go over there." Alex replied.
Simon just nodded in response.
"Is that all you needed?" Emily asked after a long moment of silence.
"Oh, there was one more thing. The tour is starting a little bit earlier than expected." Simon told us.
"When is it starting?" I asked.
"You have a couple of shows here in London starting on next Wednesday and you're leaving right after your show on the Friday." Simon replied.
Today is Friday, so I have a week to spend time with the family and just relax.
"Okay. We'll tell Jamie." Alex said as we turned to leave.
"Wait, girls, I would like to tell Jamie myself." Simon told us.
I opened my mouth to speak, but Simon spoke first.
"I'm going to visit Harry now, so I'll tell her when I get back." Simon explained.
"Okay." Was all I said before we left the room to join Jamie.
*Simon's POV*
Once the girls left my office, I stood up and left. I need to know what's going on with Jamie's behavior. And obviously I am only going to get it from Harry.
*About 25 minutes later*
Once I approached the front door, I knocked, and a few minutes later the door was opened by a person I wasn't expecting.
"Liam?" I asked in confusion.
"Yeah, hey Simon. What are you doing here?" Liam asked.
"I could ask you the same question." I said.
We chatted for a few minutes before I got to the point.
"Listen, Liam, do you mind if I come in. I need to speak to Harry. Jamie has been acting strange all day and the girls told me to come here to find out the whole story." I explained.
"Well, I think they meant from me. Not Harry." Liam replied.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Why don't you come in and I'll explain." Liam said.
I walked into the house and followed Liam to the dining room and took a seat across from Liam. A moment after we sat down, Liam started explaining the whole story to me.
"So that's why Jamie might be acting strange. Because she feels like she put her father back in that position." Liam said.
I sat there speechless. I couldn't find the words to speak.
"Simon, are you okay?" Liam asked with concern.
"Yeah, why?" I asked.
"You were sitting there staring into space." Liam replied
"Oh sorry, I was still processing." I replied.
"Don't worry, it's a lot to take in." Liam responded.
For the first time today, I noticed that Liam looked tired.
"The better question is, are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, why?" Liam asked.
"Because you look exhausted." I replied.
"Oh, yeah, I didn't get much sleep." Liam responded.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Well, Harry actually got out of his room for a few hours. We watched TV until about 4 o'clock in the morning, when he went back to his room. And then I got up three hours later to fix him breakfast. And I have been up since then cleaning a little bit and I had just sat down to watch TV." Liam explained as I nodded in response.
"Why don't you go home to get some rest and spend time with your wife and I'll stay here for a bit." I suggested.
"It's okay. Zayn is coming to relieve me after he gets out of work." Liam replied.
"And what time does he get out of work?" I asked.
"Around 5." Liam replied.
"Well, that's like 5 and a half hours from now and you need your rest. So get in my car, I'm driving you. I don't think it's safe to drive when you're that tired. I am going to come back and take care of Harry, so don't worry about him." I told him.
Liam just nodded and went to go get his shoes before he met me by the front door.
*Liam's POV*
*Skipping the car ride*
"Thanks Simon." I said when we pulled up in front of my house.
"No problem." He replied.
I got out of the car and walked towards my house. And as I approached my front door, Sophia opened the door and threw her arms around me. As she wrapped her arms around my neck, I wrapped my arms around her waist tightly.
"I love you." I whispered to her.
"I love you too." She replied.
Once we broke the hug, Sophia took my hand and gently dragged me inside the the family room, where we sat down on the couch.
"How's Harry?" She asked.
"Not good." I replied. And then continued on. "He's barely eating and he hasn't spoken more than like three words."
"Well stop stressing about it. You need to rest right now. You look exhausted." Sophia told me.
"How can I stop stressing about it when I know one of my best friends is in that state?" I said getting all defensive.
"Liam, honey, you need to calm down and go get some rest. We can talk about this when you wake up." Sophia told me.
I just sighed in annoyance as I went upstairs to my room to get some sleep. I really hope that Simon knows what he's doing.
