"BACK AWAY NOW!" I hear from a distance and from what I can see It's Masley! He shoots a flaming arrow dipped on some poison potion that pierces the beast's heart. She screams 'NO!' and vanishes into thin air. I'm so confused as to what exactly just happend before my eyes. Just then a pounding headache arrives just in the nick of time and blood is seeping from my skull while i have ripped fins as well. Fantastic work on doing it on your own savior... My own conscious was judging me. "Feralla are you okay?! I'm so sorry I went against you and left you." I could barely open my eyes but I saw Masley and smiled half way, "You saved me, thank you." then everything went black.
I awoke again still where the fight had happened. "Mas-- Ow" He dabs the wound with a warm rag. "Shh don't make anymore sudden movements you'll be just doing yourself in for more pain." He always looked scared and concerned but at this moment he looked worried for my life. Like if he made any mistake he would lose me forever and that idea he dreaded. "I'm so sorry I left you." I felt ashamed as I was the one who said I didn't need him when clearly I did. "No Masley it's my fault I shouldn't have stolen. I'm the one who should be sorry."
He kissed my forehead. "I thought of you the whole time I was gone so I followed you. I was going to leave for good when I saw you had everything explained to you and everything under control until of course this." I laugh "Ow, ugh.. Yeah that wasn't in the plans." He laughed too. "I care a lot about you Feralla. I want to be with you to be truthful." I was shocked at this. I didn't expect this at all. "Well Masley It looks as though you've gotten what you've wanted because I'm here with you now and in your arms." He held me, differently then I'd ever been held. Almost like he was holding onto his last piece of happiness. He loved me, and it was obvious that I loved him too.
He whispers to me, "Feralla," I look up to him, in my helpless state. This felt so real I almost forgotten about all my troubles. "Yes my love?" "Marry me when this is all over? I will protect you and keep our kingdom safe." My eyes lit up and my heart melted. I was in love and to be married by this amazing man who saved me. This is an incredible feeling and I promised my mother silently I wouldn't let it go.
We slept together until dawn of next morning. I arose, still sore from the wound and looked off into the distance. Masley stood somewhat next to and behind me brushing a loose lock of hair behind my hair. "Let's go." We mounted Hijiri and rode off into the sunrise together determined to find the lost city of Gyettas. It was about a 2 day's ride from Esmeralda's Kingdom, and it was one of the darkest places I've ever ventured off into. It was located in the deepest part of the ocean, and didn't really look like a city at all. It had a plaque with what was left of a welcome sign. The houses looked burned down and falling apart, and the streets were cold and empty as if no one had been here for years.
I read this riddle of instruction billions of times over for I believed for one minute I'd gone mad. "There's nothing here! Of course. I should've known all this was a lie." Masley put his hand on my shoulder, "relax dear just think about it. Let the answer come to you. Don't search for it." I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I took a few steps forward and heard a faint voice leading me away. I turned around to confirm if it was a voice, a singing voice. "I can hear it too, but this mission was for you only Feralla. This is your destiny, not mine. I'm just here to keep you safe." Masley stayed behind with Hijiri and I wandered off letting the voice lead me away.
