The caretaker came into the throne room once more. "Sir Masley I would like a word with the Guardian of the Silver Gate in private if you please?" Masley kissed me "I'll return soon dear." He whispers to me. "Of course madame, why is there anything I could do to help them with the arrangements?" She showed him the plans. "Can you orchestrate for me?" He nodded. "Yes ma'am." He disappeared into the courtyard amongst the townspeople. I lay there still disappointed. "Madame you cannot blame yourself for the Queen's endeavors. She was tainted by a cancerous illness that took over when she was but a child. She had been battling this enemy for years now, and I only know this because I've been her guardian for a long time. Since she was brought to me as a babe." She held me, "You know, you and Queen Esmeralda are very a like." I nodded in agreement so she would not think I wasn't listening. My mouth felt as if it was so numb it had been sewn shut.
"I'm telling you all of this also because I want you to know that shortly after you left on your journey, she advised me that she would like, as a part of her will, for you to take over ruling this land." I looked into her eyes. "Elle asked that of me?" She nodded in agreement. "Feralla you have proved yourself a million stars over. Not only to Esmeralda and her townspeople's but also to yourself and others. The sea has gotten wind of your greatest successes," She paused and smiled very wide and warm. "Why even your father knows of you." I smiled too. "Has he really? Have you heard from him?" She smiled again. "Why dear he is living here. I've arranged already for you to take throne tomorrow after the burial ceremony, however this is all of course if you will even accept this gracious offer. I would never force you to do anything you did not wish to do.
The only thing I could do is hug Margeitt. That was her name. "Of course I'll accept!" She laughed "You realize we have a lot of work to do. So why don't you clean up, I'll send Masley to do so as well. There will be a feast held tonight in the temple for your welcoming back ball, Tomorrow will be the coronation, and we must plan for your wedding. Also I've found you a midwife for the pregnancy. Elle also wrote you a little something in her room which is now yours. So take some time to relax and let it all sink in okay child?" Once more I hugged her. "I can see now why Elle trusted you so much. You were her mother in her eyes, It's so obvious how you cared for her and you always know what is best for people. As my first order of business I deem you the high stewardess of the City of Nautika." She teared up as did I. "Oh child your mother would be so proud of you right now, as I am."
As Margeitt walked away into the courtyard to fetch Masley. I walked up the staircase, and into the room that was once my aunt's. The master bedroom was like something from a dream of a little girl. Fit for a queen definitely. The bed had an emerald green canopy sprinkled with gold trim, the wardrobe was a dazzling matching green with silver handles that were swirled into a rose, the vanity was gorgeous, and the chandelier was beautiful. I sat by the vanity and saw the letter meant for me written in perfect script. "Our family has always been known to have great penmanship ay bird?" I turned around with a huge smile, "Father!" He ran to me and hugged me tight. "Oh my sweet baby girl I was so worried. I prayed to the Gods' that you were safe. I'm so sorry I yelled at you. I should've known that you were smart enough and brave enough as your mother was to know what you were doing and for that I apologize with all of my old, stubborn heart." I looked at him, "You were just trying to protect me Father. Don't apologize for being a parent. I understand now, especially because I just learned I am to be a mother!" He smiled with tears in his eyes. "I'm to be a grandfather? Why this is great news! We must tell the land!" I quickly advised him, "Father we must be patient Margeitt has arranged for their to be a grand announcement of the news.
