Everything will be okay

Chapter 12

Jamari:

"Stay right here, I'll be back". I said stepping out the car.

"You got 5 minutes or I'm coming in Jamari, I'm not playing". Devin said sternly.

I nodded and walked to the side of the house. I climbed up the side of the house and luckily my window was crack . It was very dark and I couldn't see anything. I lifted up the window with all my might and carefully got in. I took my mini flashlight out my purse and turned it on. Don't ask me why I carry around this little pink Flashlight.. It's just always in my purse. My room was clear. I walked over to the closet and took out my savings and stuffed it in my purse I did everything swiftly and quietly. My next step was to find my sister. My door was cracked open a bit. I carefully walked over to the door.

I carefully opened it and checked the hallways it was clear. I went pass my parents room and it was empty. I tip toed to Jayonna's room and she wasn't in there. I hit my knee on something and 2 of her barbies fell.

"Ouch!". I said looking at my scratched knee.

I was about to leave but Jarnell's door swung open , I ducked and tried to hide but wanted to see what he was doing.

He walked across the hall into the bathroom.. Thank God. Soon as the door closed. I picked up one of Jayonna's dresser and blocked the bathroom door, like in the movies. I couldn't think of nothing else.

I darted down the stairs and looked around but it was no site of her.

"Jayonna ! Jayonna please say something". I said running around in almost circles.

"Sissy,Sissy I'm here down in basement". I heard her yell.

I ran to the basement door and walked down the steps. She was tied up to a pole. I was good at un doing knots. I quickly freedher and the smell of Pee and Shit hit my nose. Jayonna was surrounded by it.

"Why didn't you co--

"Come on Jayonna". I said taking her hand.

Soon as we made it the top of the steps Jarnell stood infront of us and Jayonna started crying.

"Bitch where the fuck you think you're going". Jarnell said grabbing my hair.

"Go outside now, Jayonna". I said as Jarnell threw me towards the wall.

I hit my head so hard as I landed.

Jayonna started running but Jarnell tripped her. I stood up and attacked him so I could distracted him.

"You think you bold now huh". He said punching me in the face.

He threw me off him and I jumped on his back and started choking him. He tried to push my hands off his neck but It wasn't working.

I grabbed his strapped from under his shirt and started hitting him in the head with it.

"I'm-so tired of you". I said beating his head.

He fell to the ground, he was either dead or unconscious.

I fixed my self and threw the gun down.

I searched Jarnell's pocket and took out the money he had on him. I ran out the house and jogged back to the car.

I let out a breathe of relief.

"Why didn't you come back Fast Mari, you promised". Jayonna said as I stripped her out the dirty clothes she had on since I left.

"I'm sorry Jayonna I couldn't at first, but I got you now and that's all that matters". I said putting her into the bath.

"I haven't ate nothing for 3 days". She said sadly.

"I'm gonna get you something, just wash up and then we can eat". I said smiling at her.

"Okay". She smiled back.

I walked down the stairs and it was 2 boxes of pizza on the counter.

"I don't know if y'all was hungry or not but have at it". Devin said.

"Thanks, is something wrong?". I said looking at him.

"I'm Fine, just tired". He said putting 4 slices off pizza on his plate.

"Oh okay".

"Jamari you gotta go back to school Ma, you can't keep missing days". He said looking at me.

I totally forgot about school, it just been to much.

"Okay I'll go back Monday and out Jayonna in Daycare". I said talking mostly to myself.

He walked out the kitchen and I grabbed Jayonna a plate and put 2 slices on it. I poured her some juice and headed back upstairs. I couldn't any happier.

When I reached the room we was sleeping in. Jayonna was putting lotion on her legs as she watched tv.

"I need clothes Sissy". She said looking at me.

I grabbed my purple shirt and gave it to her for now until I can buy her some clothes.

"I missed you Mari". She said getting her pizza.

"I missed you you, did you see the doggy?". I asked.

"No, where".

I took her to the basement and she squealed looking at the puppy.

"Thank you God". I said sending him a quick prayer.
